Itโs no secretโฆ I love the lymphatic system! ๐
The lymphatic system is a network of vessels that runs throughout your entire body โ cleansing and purifying as it goes, keeping your cells healthy by removing their waste. It also transports white blood cells, playing a vital role in your immune defence.
Unlike your circulatory system, the lymphatic system doesnโt have its own pump (like the heart), so it relies on your movement to keep flowing.
During a lymphatic massage I start by waking up the *Big 6* concentrated areas of lymphatic glands, located in your neck, chest, armpits, abdomen, groin and behind the knees. I then use the Chelsey Jean lymphatic drainage gloves to apply dry skin brushing, followed by a luxurious lymphatic massage.
Lymphatic drainage massage may benefit the following conditions:
โ
Lymphoedema
โ
Swelling or Fluid Retention โ including puffiness in legs, ankles, or face
โ
Post-Surgical Recovery โ helps reduce swelling and support tissue healing
โ
Chronic Fatigue or Fibromyalgia โ gentle lymphatic work may assist energy levels and reduce pain and inflammation
โ
Sinus Congestion and allergiesโ supports drainage and reduces sinus pressure
โ
Digestive Issues or Bloating โ can stimulate lymph flow around the abdomen
โ
Immune Support โ boosts circulation of lymphocytes (immune cells)
โ
Detoxification Programs โ helps the body eliminate waste more effectively
โ
Skin Health โ supports clearer, healthier-looking skin, reduces puffiness
โ
Headaches or Migraines โ can ease tension and promote drainage of waste from the glymphatic system
โ
Post-Infection Recovery โ assists with lingering swelling or sluggishness after illness
โ
Weight gain โ lymphatic massage can help move kilograms of excess fluid to be eliminated
