When I said I needed help with "web design", I don’t think Dad expected it to involve power tools and hands on labour work 🕸️😂

One day in and we’re halfway there. Next up: a coat of my favourite colour (black, obviously 🖤), some fancy hinges, and boom — The Witchy Nook’s newest project will be ready to strut its stuff.

Because why have boring doors when you can have witch-level statement pieces?!!

Yesterday, Kelly and I traded crystals for keyboards and headed off to Digital Deep Dive here in Port Macquarie, presented by Ollie from Cloud Concepts. A whole day of info, insights, and a cheeky shove into the digital world (and yes… apparently AI isn’t going anywhere, so we may as well make it our friend).

The business world can feel like too much sometimes — overwhelming, noisy, and just… a lot. But hearing from locals who are actually living it too? That makes it all feel a bit more doable (and a lot less like screaming into the void).

Did I understand everything? Absolutely not. Did I nod along like I did? 100%. 🙃
The real win was lunchtime cocktails, laughs, and proof that even we can survive a day of “serious” learning without breaking anything.

Big thanks to Ollie and the presenters for making the scary digital stuff sound a little less terrifying — and to Kelly for not ditching me when I whispered, “what did they say, i zoned out” every 5min. 😂

🎉🧁 ITS DYLANS BIRTHDAY! 🎉🧁

Dylan was my first ever Witchy Nook customer and now he is living proof that friendship contracts don’t have escape clauses. 🖤😂

We’re basically two halves of a whole idiot: I bring the drama, he brings the eye rolls, and somehow it balances out.

He’s the calm when my anxiety spikes, the fixer when problems pop up, and the friend who somehow turns my meltdowns into solutions (or at least laughter).

So here’s to another year of sarcasm, snacks, and me asking “can you just quickly help with this?” when we both know it’s not quick.

Let's give him the abundance of birthday wishes he deserves, in true Witchy Nook style! 🎉🫶🔥🧙‍♀️

✨ Meet Kelly ✨

She’s the one keeping The Witchy Nook standing upright three days a week while I’m off juggling twelve other hats 👒😂

Kelly is my front-of-house queen, Reiki trainee (yes, she survived me as a teacher), and my partner-in-crime when it comes to jewellery supplier runs — because someone has to stop me from buying all the shiny things (or help me buy more 😂😉).

She’s an absolute firecracker in customer service, a total vibe to work with, and honestly? I couldn’t do this biz without her.

So next time you see Kelly behind the counter, give her a wave, a smile, or maybe even a coffee. She’s part of the magic that makes The Witchy Nook what it is 💚

When in doubt, add more hands (and chocolate) to the table 🍫🙌

Last week was a whirlwind — round two of DIY, finishing our brand-new tumble bar, finalising our rebrand, signing a shed lease and wrangling our POS updates (if we look confused… it’s because we are 🤷‍♀️).

Behind the scenes at The Witchy Nook isn’t all crystals and calm vibes — sometimes it’s Dylan and I hunched over the table at 11pm, surrounded by sticky notes, snacks, and about six half-finished ideas that may or may not make sense in the morning.

Honestly? Half the time we’re laughing so hard we forget what we’re meant to be doing. The other half we’re laughing so we don’t cry 🤷‍♀️. That’s small biz life — rolling with the punches, building as we go, and somehow still showing up the next day with a whole lot of determination.

So if you see something a little messy, a little sideways, or a little “WTF is happening here?” — just know it was built on equal parts chaos, caffeine, and community. And honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way 💚

Thanks for sticking with us through the messy bits! 🫶💜

Turns out my idea of self-control is signing a lease and calling it future me’s problem. 🤷‍♀️✨

Apparently “no self-control” now comes in warehouse size.
Because why just run a shop when you can add a whole new space for workshops, storage, and back-end chaos?

It’s still in Port Macquarie, it’s going to open up so many exciting possibilities… and yes, it’s giving very “oops, I tripped and fell into another project” energy.

The Witchy Nook 2.0? The Coven Cave? The Chaos Shed? (Name pending 😂).
All I know is — it’s happening, and I can’t wait to share more with you soon.
