So… apparently this year I’ve agreed to publicly fling myself out of my comfort zone for a very good cause. 🫠✨

I’m officially one of this year’s Cancer Council Stars of the Hastings.

Which means over the next few months I’ll be fundraising for the Cancer Council… and then somehow ending up on stage performing a Pole Dancing routine with the incredible Tahnee from SoulFire Pole Dance

If you know me personally, you’ll know this is VERY out of my depth. I am nervous. Like “who let me make this decision?” nervous. 😂

But I also know growth doesn’t usually happen while sitting comfortably in the corner pretending you’re too busy to try new things.

Cancer affects far too many people we love, and if me awkwardly climbing a pole while internally buffering like a dial-up computer can help raise money and awareness, then… worth it.

Over the coming months I’ll be hosting fundraising events, sharing updates, and probably documenting the emotional rollercoaster of learning a dance style I have absolutely zero business attempting.

I had to jump on this trend because apparently AI knows me a little too well…well the unhinged version at least 😅

Built from ADHD, hyperfixation, caffeine, and an alarming lack of impulse control, The Witchy Nook started as a “maybe I’ll sell a few crystals online” situation and somehow snowballed into an award-winning community space filled with workshops, sound healings, handmade products, weird little treasures, and people who finally feel like they fit somewhere. 🖤

Next Saturday we’re slowing down and getting a little herbal 🌿✨

🍵 Our Herbal Magic Workshop focuses about learning, creating, connecting and giving yourself a couple of hours to switch off from the chaos for a bit.

You’ll create your own homemade custom tea blend
receive a booklet full of information to support your ongoing practice
and you will take home your own little herbal kit so you can keep blending and experimenting afterwards.

You’ll leave with new knowledge, practical ways to work with herbs in your everyday life and probably a few new favourite smells too 😂

Our Incense Making Workshop was full of laughs, creativity and beautiful smells floating through the shop 🔮

Can we talk about how magical this day was for a second ✨

Last Saturday we got to be part of a special Bridgerton themed event supporting Bravehearts at Port Macquarie Race Club

Bravehearts does incredibly important work helping educate, empower and protect children and families across Australia, and Dylan and I are really proud to support and be involved locally here on the Mid North Coast. 🤍

The whole day was magic. Tarot readings, beautiful outfits, amazing people, laughter and so many lovely conversations.

We all committed to the Bridgerton theme and I loved every second of it. 😂✨

Thank you to everyone who came along, supported the event, stopped by for a reading or had a chat with us.

Days like this remind me how special community really is. 🤍

This is my mum 💜

I don’t think I can properly put into words how grateful I am for her.

No matter what phase of life I’m in, what chaos I’ve created, what random idea I’ve come up with or what life throws at me, she is just there. Always.

She backs me through every crazy idea, every stress, every event, every “I can totally do this” moment and every life decision… even the questionable ones 😂

When life feels a little all over the place, she’s the person helping me through all of it.

I don’t think she even realises how much she does for me sometimes.
But she just does it because that’s who she is.

My favourite place is wherever my favourite people are…And this little shop became full of them. 🖤✨

The staff who help keep the shop running, even on the chaotic days.
The customers turned into familiar faces.
The people who walk in and somehow end up staying for chats, laughs, life updates
(and more crystals 😅)

This shop has brought me so much more than I ever expected.
Not just a business.
A community.
Connection.
People I genuinely look forward to seeing every week.

So while I’m here cleansing and getting her ready for another busy day, I’m also just feeling really grateful 😌

Because the Witchy Nook became one of my favourite places simply because of the people inside it. 🖤

Tuesday night we swapped crystals for crocodiles and headed to the VIP Business Awards event at Billabong Zoo 🐊✨

Exploring the zoo at night was such a great experience. We met crocodiles, snakes, dingoes, koalas and lizards just to name a few.

Big thank you to Business Port Macquarie and Billabong Zoo for putting on such a fun night.

It was nice catching up with familiar faces, meeting other businesses entering the awards, and just spending the evening with good humans.
