The beautiful Michelle Jordan from Expanding Wings - Holistic Yoga will lead our upcoming Moving with Grief session this Saturday. Michelle is one of our many volunteers who give their time and skills to contribute to a community that offers support at times of grief. Grief because we lost someone or something we love, grief about the state of the world, grief about the inevitable changes that shape our lives. Michelle will offer some gentle yoga and co-create a space that is safe, gentle and respectful for us to come together to soften, relax and share. This is a free event. A Gentle Way to Begin the Week – Port Macquarie 🪷

Sunday afternoons can sometimes bring that quiet feeling of
“Oh… another week.”

I’ve been really enjoying starting my own week differently — slowly, gently, without rushing straight into everything.

On Monday mornings at 9:30am, I offer a Rest & Restore Gentle Yoga class, and it’s become such a beautiful way to begin. Soft movement. Long exhales. Time to land before the week gathers pace.

And even if you can’t make a class, I gently invite you to create your own little Monday ritual.

It might be:
☕ Sitting outside with your tea before checking your phone
🌿 A few slow stretches beside your bed
🌊 A short walk while the air is still cool
🤍 Three steady breaths with your hand on your heart

It doesn’t have to be long.
Just something that tells your nervous system — we’re not rushing into this.

As we move through these last warm weeks of summer, there’s a subtle shift in the air. A reminder that we don’t have to push so hard all the time.

🪷 The Courage to Receive

As we move through the dark moon and toward the quiet beginnings of the new moon, I’ve been reflecting on the practice of receiving.

Receiving light.
Receiving love.
Receiving support.

This week, a Chair Yoga student softly shared,
“I forgot how good it feels to just be.”

And isn’t that what yoga invites us back to?

Not striving.
Not proving.
Just softening… and allowing ourselves to be held for a moment.

Our practices this week gently open the heart — creating space in the chest, freedom in the breath, and a sense of inner expansion.

Like the new moon gathering light, we too can open without force.

🪷 You do not have to carry everything alone.
