|| Healthy Winter Indulgence 🍪 Oat Cookies

🔸Gluten-free • Plant-based • Delicious🔸

I felt inspired when looking through my beloved One Part Plant book by and used her almond blueberry cookie recipe as a base 🙏

I modified to suit what I had in the pantry - while reducing the amount of oil and maple syrup, I also committed the salt.

Out came these surprisingly yummi oat-peanut cookies with a twist ✨️

Here is my version:

I n g r e d i e n t s

🔸175g blend of peanut and hazelnut-chocolate butter

🔸1.5 tbsp of melted coconut oil  

🔸2 tbsp of maple syrup

🔸125g of rolled oats

🔸1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda

🍫 Optional – Cacao Nibs (crushed cacao beans)

✅ They give a crunchy texture and a touch of chocolatey bitterness

✅ They are anti-inflammatory and support our mood, heart (through flavonoids) & digestive health

✅ The bitter flavours activate the relaxation response in the body via the Vagus Nerve (Parasympathetic Nervous System)

D i r e c t i o n s

✔️ Combine all wet ingredients, then fold in oats and /or cacao nibs

✔️ Take a tablespoon sized dough, roll to a ball and then press gently to flatten

✔️ Bake at 180 degrees for ~ 10minutes - they should still be slightly soft to touch

Enjoy with a cup of tea 🍵 and voila - you have the perfect snack package – at all times of day (in my books anyway)

…of coming home 🏡..of being able to say “I feel at home here”

So precious 🧡

🤔 I’ve been pondering this lately as I am embarking on my trip back ‘home’ soon i.e. back to Germany, where I grew up.

I’ve noticed that when I’m talking to my clients about my trip that I refer to it as ‘going back to Germany’ rather than ‘I’m going home’

This is an interesting observation and change for me and, at the same time, not surprising as I see Australia as my home (embedded further by becoming an Australian Citizen last year).

However, going to Germany still feels like going home as well, I associate it with seeing my family and a few close, longstanding friends.

They say that home is where your heart is 🧡
Given the capacity of the heart in a broader sense, to me, there is enough space to accommodate various versions of ‘home’ – do you agree?

I’m curious:

👉 What is ‘home’ to you? Is it a place, a person, a pet, a feeling…?

👉 Can we have multiple ‘homes’ – what do you think?

Reaching this incredible milestone in my new clinic space feels extra special 🙌

I have been receiving and practicing Kinesiology for over 20 years and as ever, it is a privilege to share my experience and knowledge to help others to thrive, take care of their wellbeing and find balance in all aspects of their life 🧡

Whether you are a valued client, friend, colleague, mentor, business partner or follower, thank you for your support in helping me live my passion every day so I can make a difference through the work I do 🙏

👉 To honour this milestone and my need to recharge, I booked a spontaneous trip to Germany for August 🇩🇪 ✈️
I look forward to a break and spend time with my family & friends before returning to the clinic and my clients - refreshed and revitalised ✨️

Nourishment is my word for 2025 and over the last six months, I've been paying closer attention to what I need and how I can nourish and nurture myself more.

This naturally aligns with my daily intention for my work in the clinic, inspiring and supporting my clients to feel and do the same.

Nourishment during Winter can be found through warming, comforting foods or drinks, a hot bath, a refreshing walk or practices that promote relaxation - such as gentle yoga, stretching, meditation, breathing techniques or simply curling up on the couch with a good book 📖

👉 Are you aware of what truly nourishes you?

👉 And if yes, do you honour your needs and make time for them?

🔸️Affirmations are a simple yet effective tool to consciously connect with how we want to think, feel and be

🔸️ Affirmations are a great way to untangle and reset ourselves

👉 This Five Element Acupressure Course Level 2 was another profound experience, personally and professionally

👉 Spending 4 days with the participants was pretty special and under the expert guidance of John Kirkwood from The Acupressure Centre , we learned and grew together and, treated each other – because it was such a small group, we all found that we were able to go deeper with the work, resulting in some tremendous shifts 🧡

🔸️Five Element Acupressure is done with touch rather than using a needle. It balances the Qi in the meridians, having effects throughout the body, not just where the points are located.

🔸️The amazing benefits include:

✅️ Releases muscular tension

✅️ Promotes blood circulation and flow of blood in the area, carrying away toxins & bringing oxygen to the tissues

✅️ Releases endorphins, thereby helps reduce pain
