East Coast Occupational Therapy Occupational Therapist and Qualified Occupational Therapy Driving Assessor

Olivia is a registered Occupational Therapist and Qualified Occupational Therapy Driving Assessor offering Occupational Therapy services across the Mid North Coast, NSW. The below is the range of services offered by the business, inclusive of descriptions of each service:

Driving Assessments: If you have been referred by your doctor, or the RMS for an OT Driving Assessment, our Licensed Occupatio

nal Therapy Driving Assessor, Olivia can assist with your assessment. We can assist you with a general driving assessment and/or complete assessment in regard to disability related modifications such as hand controls, steering aids, left foot accelerator, additional mirrors, and vehicle transfer aids. An OT Driving Assessment involves an "off-road" assessment regarding driving history, and skills needed for driving, including vision, physical range of movement, coordination, reaction time and cognitive functioning. The assessment then proceeds to an "on-road" assessment of driving ability in a Driving Instructor's vehicle with dual braking. NDIS Services: The practice is not a registered provider and therefore will not be taking on NDIA managed clients. We are able to offer the following services to self and plan managed clients: Occupational Therapy for adults with physical, neurological, psychosocial and intellectual disabilities, including:
• Functional Assessment
• Assistive Technology Assessment
• Simple/Complex Home Modification Assessment
• Capacity Building Programs to be delivered by Support Workers to support NDIS Participants to achieve their goals.
• OT Driving Assessment and lessons with a suitable Driving Instructor can also be provided under NDIS funding. DVA & Home Care Package: Assessments funded via Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) for Home Assessment, Home Modifications and Equipment prescription. We also will provide assessments for older adults funded via My Aged Care for Assistive equipment and Home Modifications that support independence and safety.

Let’s talk about the new NDIS Price Guide.

The latest NDIS Price Guide has been released, and we’ve taken some time to understand what it means for our team, our services, and most importantly, our clients.

Unfortunately, the NDIS has continued its price freeze. For many businesses already under pressure from rising operational costs and the broader cost of living crisis, this brings no relief.

In addition, the NDIS has reduced the rate paid to therapists for travel—a crucial support that allows us to reach rural and remote clients, many of whom would otherwise struggle to access essential therapy.

☀️Despite this, we want to reassure our clients and their families:
We will continue to provide services to our rural and remote communities and will absorb these additional costs for now.

We’re not sure how sustainable this is in the long term, but we are committed to standing by our vulnerable participants and making sure they don’t go without the supports they need and deserve.

We’re here. We care. And we’ll keep advocating for fair and equitable support for all. 💙

Today, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the ANZACs—those who served, and those who continue to serve our country.

We remember their stories, their strength, and the freedoms they helped secure.

🕊️ Lest we forget.

Why is tilt so important in seating?

Using tilt-in-space is a great strategy to help redistribute pressure, especially for individuals who spend long periods in their chairs. By using the tilt-in-space function, we can shift pressure away from high-risk areas like the sacrum and ischial tuberosities, promoting better skin health and reducing the risk of pressure injuries.

It’s not just about comfort—it’s about prevention, function, and long-term wellbeing.

✨ Small adjustments can lead to big impacts!
