đ¸ Pre-eclampsia Screening in Pregnancy đ¸
Pre-eclampsia is a pregnancy condition that can affect blood pressure, other organs, and the health of both mum and baby. Early detection makes a big difference.
â
Whatâs recommended?
Current guidelines recommend that all pregnant women are screened for pre-eclampsia risk in the first trimester. This is usually done with:
⢠A detailed health history
⢠Blood pressure monitoring
⢠Blood tests
⢠Ultrasound measurements
𩺠If youâre identified as higher risk, your care team may recommend preventative strategies such as low-dose aspirin and closer monitoring throughout pregnancy.
⨠Screening doesnât mean thereâs a problem â itâs about being proactive, reducing risks, and supporting the safest pregnancy journey possible.
At Holistic Womenâs Health, weâre here to walk with you through every step of pregnancy, providing evidence-based care and support for your choices. đ
