World Diabetes Day - 14th November 💉🩸

Diabetes is a chronic condition where the body struggles to produce enough insulin, a hormone essential for converting glucose into energy. If not well managed, diabetes can lead to serious health complications like heart attack, stroke, and even limb amputation.

Diabetes in 2022 was the seventh leading cause of death in Australia, with 6,050 lives lost. Type 2 Diabetes alone contributed 4.8% to the countries total disease burden, ranking it as the twelfth leading contributor.

Managing Diabetes effectively is crucial for preventing these serious outcomes. A tailored approach can make a significant difference. We have a supportive team across the board with Exercise Physiology and Dietitians to help get you on track with life and take a step towards better management with your Diabetes.

🌿 OT Week 2025: Celebrating Occupational Therapy in Action

This OT Week (27 October – 2 November 2025), we celebrate the creativity, compassion, and commitment of Occupational Therapists who make a difference every day. Whether working with adults or children, OTs empower people to live meaningful, independent, and fulfilling lives — helping them do the things that matter most.

Prue – Occupational Therapist (Adults)

“I enjoy the diversity and individualised approach of what Occupational Therapy can offer clients — whether it be solutions of assistive technology, skill building, adapting ways to complete tasks, or finding solutions to maintain or improve independent living skills. No client or day is ever the same.

I find it no greater privilege than being able to hear other people’s stories and learn about them and their lives as part of the therapeutic process.”

Caleisha – Occupational Therapist (Paediatrics)

“I love connecting with my clients through genuine, down-to-earth conversations, getting to know what truly matters to them, and incorporating that into therapy. Occupational Therapy is such a dynamic and fascinating field — becoming an ‘expert’ in other people’s occupations is both rewarding and a lot of fun!”
