We all know that without our Volunteers, racing stops!

This week as part of National Volunteer’s Week, we celebrate your dedication that keeps the wheels turning.

The long hours in all weather conditions, the jobs that no one seems to notice, and all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making our great sport run, week-in-week-out!

This week, we will profile four of our amazing contributors across the country that continue to make a massive impression on our sport and to inspire us all to keep pushing!

On behalf of the Australian karting community from the north to the south, from the east to the west, we sincerely thank you!

Every Kart club could use more helpers, so if you’d like to volunteer, talk to your local club about ways you can get involved.

As part of National Volunteers week, we want to acknowledge the amazing people across the nation that keep the karting wheels turning. Without you, we simply can’t go racing!

More than 300 entries have been received for Round Two of the 2026 Penrite Australian Kart Championship to be hosted by the Ipswich Kart Club on May 15-17.

Three classes - Cadet 12 (60), KA3 Junior (60) and KA3 Senior (40) have reached capacity. Should competitors wish to enter these classes, please email akc@karting.net.au to be placed on the reserve list.

Take a look at the Girls Race Too Trophy points after Round 1 of the 2026 Penrite Australian Kart Championship that took place at Coffs Harbour earlier this month.

Lana Flack currently leads the standings on 90 points. Be sure to keep an eye on these incredible ladies competing over the five rounds of AKC this year.
