On Friday, the amazing photographer Sophia from SM Photography came to my property to take some special photos of my blind dog, Jack.
For those who know me, you know how much my animals mean to me, and it’s been a challenging year since Jack lost his sight so unexpectedly.
Sophia brought such a calming presence to the session, and you can feel how much she truly loves what she does.
If you’ve ever thought about getting beautiful images of your fur babies, I highly recommend giving her a follow and checking out her work!

As someone who has struggled with depression, I know how powerful it can be when someone simply checks in — without judgment, without pressure, just with genuine care.
Sometimes, all it takes is four small words — “Are you okay?” — to remind someone they’re not alone in what they’re feeling.
You don’t need to have the answers. You just need to ask, listen, and be there.
So today, reach out. To a friend, a colleague, a family member. You never know how much they might need it.

Well, this is 46.
I spent my birthday out in nature — the perfect place to reflect and reset.
These years have been crazy, stressful, and full of unexpected turns… but also full of growth, lessons, and moments I wouldn’t trade.
The older I get, the more I feel society’s pressure to stay young. But honestly, every wrinkle and grey hair tells a story.
Aging is something many of my friends and family never got to experience — and that perspective changes everything.
Getting older is not a curse. It’s a privilege. And today, I’m thankful for every one of these 46 wild, messy, beautiful years.

Today, we celebrate 23 years of marriage.
In a world where it’s easy to throw things away when they break, we’ve chosen to support each other through the good times and the tough times. Yes, we p**s each other off now and then, but our marriage has never been about control—it’s about trust, support, and allowing each other the freedom to grow and chase our dreams.
While I was planning our wedding, my husband was going through chemo and radiation for a brain tumour. Less than two years after we married, I began my own battle with health issues that took over a decade to overcome just to live a somewhat normal life again.
Our journey has been a rollercoaster, and we’ve learned just how fragile life can be. That’s why we choose to live it together—by supporting one another, not limiting each other.
Life is not easy. You put in the work, you grow together, and you hold on to what truly matters.

We lift each other up, so we can both chase our dreams.
