The therapeutic goods administration (TGA) recently updated its guidelines for advertising cosmetic injectables in Australia.

Previously, social media posts for cosmetic treatments could mention things such as “anti wrinkle injections” and “dermal filler” without mentioning specific products or brand names.

However, the TGA now states that we can not indirectly mention prescription medicines using these common terms.

What you need to know:
- we are no longer allowed to use the terms “injectables”, “dermal fillers, “anti-wrinkle” in marketing material.
- We can no longer post before and after photos of injectable treatments.
- Price lists are now only available in person at consultation.
- Social media hash tags must not include terms from above.

These updates with impact how we communicate with our patients via social media in regards to our service we offer, but we are still offering the same treatments in clinic, and rest assured our commitment to providing exceptional care remains unchanged.
