Thanks to Casey and the students and seniors who took part in Virtual Voyagers VR. Each week laughter filled the room as retirement living residents and secondary school students travelled the world virtually from the comfort of Garden Village.

Launched by Garden Village in partnership with Intergen Connect SilVR Adventures and Heritage Christian School Port Macquarie, the eight week program created opportunities for friendships across generations.

Intergenerational Programs offer a space for both generations to step outside their everyday lives, share experiences and enjoy good company.

GV Volunteers attended the 'Connecting Communities - Thank You NSW Volunteers!' Event hosted by the Women's Network with MC Jean Kitson.

We joined 100 volunteers representing 39 organisations for an evening of connection and recognition. Volunteers are the heart of our communities, and your dedication and service make an immeasurable impact across NSW.

We were also delighted to make the front page of the Port Macquarie News for the Virtual Voyagers Program proudly funded by our volunteer led Auxiliary.

Garden Village resident Daphne is a volunteer and visits Wintergarden residents. Ash has lived at Wintergarden for 6 months and in Port Macquarie for 60 years. He enjoys the visits and playing a competitive game of UNO each week.
