Women’s Cancer Support Retreat – Mid North Coast

This is something I am very passionate about co- facilitating as a cancer survivor myself.
Life Force invites you to a nurturing one-day retreat designed especially for women living with cancer or adjusting after treatment.

This supportive care program offers a safe space to pause, reflect, and connect with others who understand. Guided by experienced staff, the day will include:
Gentle yoga for resilience
Guided meditation
Healing touch with essential oils
Time for sharing and support in a small, caring group

Open to women who are medically stable, whether currently in treatment or navigating life after cancer.

Take a day for yourself — to breathe, restore, and find strength in community. Priority will be given to those who have not attended previously but all are welcome to apply! There is NO COST for this event.

A little life update from our yoga space 🤍

This week has brought some unexpected news… due to a council issue around parking and studio licensing, we’ve been told that all classes at the studio need to pause by the end of this week.

It’s really sad. This space has held so much for so many of us. And it’s not just me feeling it - we are a team of 4 teachers sharing beautiful offerings in this boutique studio💛

So for now, this will be our final week in the studio while things are being worked through. With Easter and school holidays coming up, I’ll be pausing classes for a few weeks to find a new space (or spaces) for us to continue.

If you know of anywhere that might suit—hall, community space, quiet room—I would LOVE to hear from you. Even if it’s different spaces for different classes.

And if you’re new here… I just want to say, this isn’t the end. Our community is still here. I’ll keep sharing, the weekly emails will continue and we’ll find our way forward together.

There have been little moments of hope… like a beautiful bird singing during chair yoga on Friday—so full of joy, it stopped us all for a moment. I’m holding onto that.

And honestly, the ocean has been my anchor these past few days. Life has felt heavy in so many ways, and being in the water—feeling held, weightless—has been everything.

I hope you’re finding your own version of that support too 🤍

This week in class, we’ll be exploring change—the kind we choose, the kind that finds us, and how we can find steadiness within it.

I’m also gently exploring the idea of offering some Zoom classes during this transition, with recordings available too. Nothing set yet… just allowing space for possibilities to unfold.

So this isn’t an ending.
It’s a pause. A breath. A space between.

And I trust something new will expand from here 🪷

A gentle reminder this week…

Healing takes time.
Healing is not linear.
Healing is possible. 🌿

Earlier this week I spent two days in Newcastle attending a symposium on supporting the recovery and healing journey for those affected by domestic, family and sexual violence. It was powerful to sit among over 300 people learning, listening and deepening our understanding of how we can support those navigating their healing.

Over the weekend I also shared a beautiful one-day yoga retreat with my daughter, which felt deeply nourishing.

This week in our classes we will gently settle into the body — one of the most profound ways to support healing and wellbeing.

🍂 Welcoming Autumn with Gentle Yoga

Yesterday we spent the final day of summer at Scotts Head — a beautiful swim in the ocean, sunshine, and even a little rain on the drive home that felt like a gentle seasonal cleanse. It felt good to end summer consciously and step into autumn with intention.

Autumn always reminds me how naturally things can fall away — like leaves drifting gently from the trees. No force, no rush. Just a quiet invitation to stay grounded in what supports us and soften into the changing season.

This week’s classes will reflect that gentle autumn energy — grounding, restorative and inward.
