upcoming NDIS training

FREE NDIS Workshop!!! With the help of the Jeder Institute we are very excited to announce this upcoming workshop on the 12th and 13th of October in Port Macquarie. The workshop is an opportunity for people with a disability and/or their family/carers to increase their knowledge of the NDIS and that changes that will occur over the next few years. This workshop will also support the development of a plan that can be used to support the persons transition to the NDIS.
Please see the attached Flyer for more information. We hope people are as excited as we are about this opportunity to enhance local knowledge and support individuals and their families.

Enjoying my first Mother's Day. Thank you to everyone for allowing me some time to enjoy with my gorgeous little man.

Congratulations to our OT pip Cullen on the safe arrival of her beautiful baby boy Lachlan on the 1-5-15. Pip is currently on leave and will be coming back part time as able. Have wheelchair will travel is a wonderful site that helps families by providing disability friendly information about different locations. They also have a blog that shares useful ideas that parents come up with to tackle everyday issues. Their website and page are well worth a look.

The saying “necessity is the mother of invention” is often used and I think this blog is a fine example of parents finding fantastic solutions to problems when it comes to access and equipment. In our family we have been lucky to have a Grandad who is good at carpentry so he has made corner …

Have you ever wanted to design a product for your child. Yes! Me too it is something i think about a lot and now we all have the chance to put our ideas forward to a disability manufacturer. My poor brain has gone in to overdrive.
