Unfortunately STABLE Support is experiencing a bit of a COVID outbreak - We have 3 of 4 staff out with many clients reporting being positive.

Believe it or not, we dont believe our staff are the cause of spreading but who will ever know. We will be in touch with clients today and tomorrow to check on welfare however please be advised there will be disruptions to normal supports over the next 10 days.

Please practice social distancing when possible!

Weโ€™ve noticed heaps of mossies while about and about. Kids with disabilities are even more vulnerable. Make sure you cover up, repel (if your child can) and eliminate water around the home

โ— The risk of mosquito borne disease transmission is currently high in South Australia.

Viruses that can cause serious diseases like encephalitis, which may be fatal or cause long-term neurological damage, have been detected.

There has also been a spike in Ross River virus cases.

There is currently no vaccine or cure for South Australian mosquito-borne diseases.

Protect yourself and your family by covering up with long, loose clothing, using insect repellent, and eliminating the water mosquitoes breed in.

Cover up. Repel. Eliminate.

Do you have an NDIS plan and are looking for an awesome support worker? Get in touch today! We are hiring new support workers right now and can recruit someone specifically for you or we can connect you with one of our amazing team.

If you or someone important to you has a plan but you don't think you are getting the most out of us we can also meet with you for a no obligations chat and some free advice. To buy services from us your plan will need to be self or plan-managed and if it's not, WHY? We'll help you get it changed so you can access more services to help you meet your goals

STABLE Support is looking to recruit several amazing disability support workers.
Stable support launched in 2020 as a small nonregistered NDIS provider. We offer a range of different services in Port Pirie with arguably the most valuable being support workers. Our support workers offer everyday assistance to people with disability. We aim to make all our support fun and encourage our clients to be active in the community. We do heaps of work with kids which is about having fun, trying new things, learning together and being active in the community.

We have a small team who do some amazing work but are looking for our first official staff member. You will start by getting to know a few of our regular customers as well as developing your own case load. You will be supported to engage new clients and help them achieve their NDIS goals. You will be supported by the Founder of STABLE Support who has 5 years of experience within the NDIS and heaps of community connections. You will be presented with heaps of new challenges and problems, but our team will always be side by side with you and importantly the client to work out whatever issues come up.

This position offers heaps of space to grow with opportunities to learn about other services we deliver and grow your hours and career in an ethical way! We arenโ€™t just looking for someone who ticks all the boxโ€™s but for a team of people who generally care, always put the client first, can build amazing yet professional relationships with the people we support and other important people in their lives. Weโ€™re looking for people who know how to have fun, be safe, think outside the box and are willing to grow with the business.

About you:
โ€ข Most importantly you need to be committed to helping people with disability achieve their goals, have fun and have ambitions to help your community. If this, isnโ€™t you, you can be a great support worker, just not for STABLE Support
โ€ข Essential: Experience supporting people with disability and/or qualifications in individual support or working towards
โ€ข Desirable: NDIS Worker Screening, DHS Working with Children Check, recent criminal history check or willing to obtain all
โ€ข Drivers Licence and roadworthy vehicle that is clean and well presented
โ€ข Understanding and ability to start with just a few hours per week. Matching clients with support workers is a delicate thing!! Unfortunately, you wonโ€™t start with 30 hours per week, but the hours will grow. Capacity to transfer to part time or full-time employment exists
โ€ข Desirable: WHS training
How to Apply: (this is important, following the instructions from your clients is so important and following these steps closely shows us you can get it right for your clients)
Step 1: Write us a short covering letter โ€“ no more than 1 page โ€“ tell us why we should employ you, how you meet the requirements for the job & importantly a bit about your interests, experiences & skills
Step 2: Update your resume โ€“ We want to see what experience you have professionally, what qualifications you have or are working towards and any other checks or certificates you have. Please keep it brief, we want to know about your experience, not what you had for breakfast 15 years ago
Step 3: Send it to us in an email addressed to Joshua at admin@stablesuppor.info โ€“ please write in the subject โ€“ Iโ€™m your next awesome support worker
Step 4: Be patient, we will get back to you with the next steps or if you have been unsuccessful
