Hi, I am Emmalee Director & founder of EMpower Pathways..... I've realised here on Facebook ive shared some staff profiles, but haven't properly introduced myself - so if you wanted to know more about the Director here's some keys facts.
I am nearly 35, I have 4 beautiful children, I am married to an amazing man Josh. I live and breathe EMpower Pathways.. on a deeper level if you're still reading this far here is some more about me, now those who know me personally know Self advocacy isn't my style but I do understand the importance of knowing who, what & why......so here goes.

I’m a wife, a mum, and a passionate advocate with deep, lived experience in the disability space—both professionally and personally. As a mother raising children with disabilities, I’ve navigated countless diagnoses, systems, and challenges. These experiences have shaped not only my perspective but also my purpose. I’ve also overcome significant health struggles of my own, and more recently, I’ve been diagnosed as neurodivergent—adding yet another layer of insight and empathy to the way I show up for others.

My journey hasn’t been easy, but it has ignited a strong passion for meaningful, person-centred support. For me, the disability sector isn’t just work—it’s personal. I am deeply committed to paving the way for genuine, proactive change: creating inclusive opportunities where some currently dont exist, building stronger systems, and striving for supports that are not just available but truly impactful.

If I don’t know something, I will stop at nothing to find out. I believe in showing up when people need you the most—not just physically, but emotionally, mentally, and with intention. I aim to always show up better, stronger, and more informed, advocating loudly and fearlessly for those who need a voice, and empowering those who already have one.

Outside of my work, I am not much different to who i am professionalIy, i do my best to be a present mum, a supportive wife, and a genuine friend. I believe in connection, and showing up for the people in my life with the same heart and commitment I bring to my work.....
I dont beleive I am very interesting, in the depths of motherhood and advocating for my own children, i havent focused on hobbies or interests, but I beleive i am right where I am meant to be..... this is enough for me.... i was given these experiences for a reason.

Thanks for being here, I hope you see my heart because I do wear it on my sleeve,

Em ❤️
