We’re Hiring – Disability Support Worker

Are you a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker looking to make a real difference in people’s lives?

We are seeking a support worker who understand the importance of consistency, patience, and respect when working with vulnerable individuals, including children and youth.

-What We’re Looking For:

-A trauma-informed approach to care
- Strong understanding of complex behaviours and person-centred supports
-Relevant qualification (Cert III in Individual Support or similar) or willingness to obtain
- Experience supporting children, teens, or young adults
- Fit, active, and able to work in dynamic environments
- Calm, solution-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
- Reliable and professional, with willingness to travel when required
- Open-minded, respectful, and committed to participant choice and control

-Mandatory Requirements:

• Driver’s License
• Working With Children Check
• NDIS Worker Screening check
• Availability for early mornings, late nights, & weekends,

Tegan brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and professionalism to our team.

Her role includes:

Support work

Client engagement

Medication implementation and compliance

Administrative support

Policy implementation

Staff advocacy

Staff training and liaison

Em’s off-sider

Tegan plays a key role in ensuring high-quality support delivery while strengthening communication between clients, staff, and management 🩵

OT Availability Update 🗣

We have established strong working relationships with Occupational Therapists who utilise our space and currently have availability.

They are visiting Port Pirie fortnightly, helping to bridge gaps between services and reduce waitlist pressures in the region.

I am more than happy to share the referral process via email or direct message. Once a referral is made, you will be in their capable hands, as our role is simply to help connect you with the appropriate services.

• Wild Milds – Currently have capacity for adults and Functional Capacity Assessments.

• New Wave OT – Currently have capacity for children.

Please reach out if Occupational Therapy services are required.

Happy 53rd Birthday, Ashley 🎉
Today we celebrate one of the bravest, kindest and most genuine men we have the privilege of walking alongside.
Over the past two years, we have seen Ashley navigate the heartbreaking loss of his mum and step into a new chapter of life with incredible strength. Watching his growth, resilience and independence has been something truly special.
A huge shout out to his primary care worker, Tonya, who has walked beside him with dedication and heart.
We had the best day celebrating, throwing a party, building his new bike and watching him ride for the first time in years. Seeing those smiles was everything.
When Ashley said, “My best birthday ever, better than my 50th,” it reminded us exactly why this work matters.
Happy Birthday, Ashley. We are so proud of you!

My take on “competition”

"The opposition" = support that fits.
Because at the end of the day, it’s about the participant & not the providers 💜
