It’s National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
Children’s Day - an annual celebration on the 4th of August.
It was first established in 1988 by SNAICC-National Voice for our Children. This day celebrates the strength, culture, family, community, and the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
Each year has its own theme. This years’ theme being ‘Little Footsteps Big Future’, highlights and celebrates the journey of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children as they step forward in culture, community, and are supported with strength and pride.
