This is a very rare picture of a crow standing on the back of a bald eagle while both were flying. The strange aerial encounter lasted only a few seconds, and it seems the eagle might have just ignored the crow.

A bird photographer named Phoo Chan captured a rare moment. Audubon field editor Kenn Kaufman explains that small birds often bother larger birds to protect their nests, but riding on their backs is very rare.

Kaufman suggests the eagle in the picture might have been ignoring the crow. Chan was lucky to photograph this event, as he is experienced in capturing birds in flight.
