A breast reduction mammoplasty procedure is for women with large or sagging breasts, as it relieves back, neck, and shoulder pain while reducing unwanted attention to the chest area. Women of all ages can undergo this procedure, which can be performed with various approaches. This patient has lost weight and wanted to reshape her breasts. She had a breast reduction mammaplasty and a superomedial pedicle lift (mastopexy).

It was so much fun to use a real katana with my sensei on the weekend. A different kind of blade that I’m used to be sure….Progressing through the ranks of Juijitsu, new opportunities like this open up and keep it interesting and constantly evolving. Still so much to learn!!!

Sometimes I see patients who get hung up on the type of scar they will get with breast reduction/lift procedure above anything else. As surgeons we aim to minimise these too, but not at any costs. Yes there are more scars from the anchor approach, but it is hidden under the breast and the benefit of this approach far outweighs the extra scar that you get. But if scars are a dealbreaker for you then this surgery may be not for you and you may be better off leaving it be. Just a thought….

A lot of time has been spent by surgeons performing Abdominoplasty gazing into belly buttons….in th end each surgeon chooses their own preferred technique for its reconstruction. My aim is to give you a most natural and realistic umbilicus post surgery. Ideally it doesn’t attract the gaze of an eye, because it means it looks the part and doesn’t attract attention, which is what we want. We also want to change the frown (saggy skin) around the belly button into a flatter looking abdomen with a natural innie
