It was good to be part of the GPs @ Parliament event today to highlight the importance of having regular health checks with your GPs. Thanks to all MPs who participated, including the Victorian Health Minister, who understand the critical role GPs play in the health care of Victorians. We need to continue to advocate for greater funding and support from all levels of government towards Primary Care.

Today, I received official confirmation of the completion of my Addiction Medicine Training Program.

I took a moment to celebrate with the one person who has been my unwavering support throughout this journey—my wife, Katharina.

Kate has been my rock over the past few years. Her encouragement, patience, and strength have made this achievement possible. I truly couldn’t have done it without her.

While there are still a few more weeks of administrative processing before AHPRA formally recognises me as an Addiction Medicine Specialist, tonight I’m simply feeling grateful.

There are practical barriers faced by GPs who would like to provide Opioid Replacement Therapy to their patients.

The RACGP hopes to reduce this barrier and compiled a list of Pharmacies in Victoria who can administer LAIB on site.
