If you're pregnant and feeling pressure, swelling or discomfort in your vulval region — you're not imagining things.

It might be V.V.V. (Vulval Varicose Veins) — a common circulation-related symptom that happens as blood pools in the veins of your pelvis and legs.

But the good news? There are ways to manage the discomfort, and most cases resolve after birth 💛

Here are a few of our fave physio-approved tips:
🔹 Use an ice pack with a towel (never directly on skin)
🔹 Try SRC shorts or firm underwear with a pad (yep, that works!)
🔹 Keep things… moving 💩 — 🥝 kiwi fruit and hydration can help
🔹 Compression socks can support blood flow from the legs

💡 Did you know Diastasis Recti (abdominal muscle separation) is a normal part of pregnancy?

As your baby grows, your abdominal muscles naturally stretch and widen to make room.

While this is completely normal, there are simple ways you can support your body and feel stronger through pregnancy.

✨ Keep active – gentle movement keeps your muscles strong and supports your energy.
✨ Wear safe abdominal support – a well-fitted support can reduce strain and help you feel more comfortable day-to-day.
✨ Modify your movements – avoid breath-holding or “doming” to protect your core during exercise and lifting.
✨ Prevent constipation – good hydration and fibre (hello, kiwi fruit 🥝) help reduce pressure on your tummy.
