An abundance of Tahitian limes on the tree this year!! Too many for cooking and too many for our G&T’s!!
Lime juice in warm water in the morning on an empty stomach will kick-start your metabolism and dose you up with plenty of Vitamin C!!! 😊👍
“Limes are high in vitamin C and antioxidants — both of which may offer health benefits. Eating limes or drinking the juice may improve immunity, reduce heart disease risk factors, prevent kidney stones, aid iron absorption, and promote healthy skin. Avoid limes if you're allergic to citrus fruit.”
“Each standard size lime contains the following nutrients:
22 milligrams (mg) calcium
12 mg phosphorus
68 mg potassium
19.5 mg vitamin C, which is about 20–25 percent of the daily value recommended for adults”
