🌞 Skin Cancer Awareness Week | November 2025
Your skin is your body’s largest organ and it deserves your attention and care every day. 💛
This Skin Cancer Awareness Week, we’re encouraging everyone to take a closer look at their skin health. Skin cancer is the most common cancer worldwide, but when detected early, it’s also one of the most treatable.
🩺 Here’s what you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones:
🌤 1. Practice Sun Safety Every Day
Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) every morning, even on cloudy or cool days.
Reapply every 2 hours, especially after swimming or sweating.
Seek shade between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun’s rays are strongest.
Wear protective clothing, wide-brimmed hats, and UV-blocking sunglasses.
đź‘€ 2. Know Your Skin
Perform monthly self-skin checks in good lighting, and look for new, changing, or unusual moles or spots.
Remember the ABCDE rule of melanoma detection:
Asymmetry | Border irregularity | Color variation | Diameter >6mm | Evolving appearance
đź’¬ 3. See a Dermatologist
Schedule an annual professional skin exam or sooner if you notice anything suspicious.
Early detection is the key: when caught early, skin cancer has a 99% survival rate.
🌿 4. Spread Awareness
Share this message with friends and family.
Encourage others to make sun safety and skin checks part of their routine.
Let’s work together to protect the skin we’re in, because healthy skin is beautiful skin. 💛
