AGAPI Care provides a wide range of support to individuals and families across the "whole of life" continuum. AGAPI Care's goals are to enable, support and encourage people to participate fully and equally within the community, creating various pathways and opportunities of their choice. Our aim is to support people to reach their goals and aspirations: our disability support services give us the opportunity to do this. AGAPI Care's disability support services are flexible, creative and recognise the uniqueness and diversity of all individuals. We operate across three Melbourne metropolitan regions - Eastern, Southern and North-West.

AGAPI Care is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its new office on Atherton Road Oakleigh.

On November 17, 2025, AGAPI Care was delighted to extend an exclusive invitation to esteemed guests for the grand opening of its new office. This significant event represents a major milestone for the organisation and the vulnerable individuals they serve. AGAPI Care was honoured to welcome distinguished dignitaries and guests, including Members of Parliament, Committee Members, former Presidents of AGAPI Care, Sponsors, and representatives from various Community Organisations.

Guests had the opportunity to explore the brand-new office, featuring a modern design and advanced security systems to ensure the safety and comfort of both staff and clients.

This new facility will serve as an Elderly Hub and will host a Day Program for individuals with disabilities. All activities provided at this office will focus on helping vulnerable individuals maintain their independence, mobility, and social connections.

AGAPI Care wishes to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Top Gun Collision Centre and EPDM Commercial Builders for their generous contribution and support of this project.

AGAPI Care would like to thank the Hon. Lee Tarlamis OAM MP, Ms. Vivienne Nguyen, Mr. Allister Sarris, and Mr. Paul Klisaris for their unwavering support.

On Saturday, 11 October 2025, the Hellenic Medical Society of Australia (HMSA), in collaboration with the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne, hosted their Annual Gala Ball at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne.

This prestigious event celebrated the spirit of Greek philanthropy, culture, and community, bringing people together in support of AGAPI Care, a longstanding organisation dedicated to assisting vulnerable members of our community.

The evening was a resounding success, attended by a distinguished group of guests including His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Chora, the Consul General of Greece in Melbourne Ms Dimitra Georgantzoglou, Hon. Kat Theophanous MP, Hon. Nick Staikos MP, Hon. Georgie Crozier MP, among many others.

AGAPI Care extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Hellenic Medical Society of Australia, with special thanks to Dr. Marinis Pirpiris, and to the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne for their outstanding efforts in organising this event and raising $23,774 so far, to support the vital services we provide.

On Thursday, September 18, 2025, we had the honour of welcoming Ms Despina Giannakopoulou, wife of the late Pavlos Giannakopoulos, and Mr Vasilis Parthenopoulos, President of Panathinaikos Basketball Club, at our Head Office in Preston.

During their visit, Ms Giannakopoulou and Mr Parthenopoulos engaged with our Chief Executive Officer Ms Mary Gakopoulos, as well as Mr Steve Tsalikidis, President of Heidelberg United Alexander Football Club and Treasurer Mr John Mangos, representatives from Victoria Police and the Hellenic Victorian Police Association as well as the President of Panathinaikos Fan Club of Melbourne Mr Chris Roussalis and Mr Kostas Paterakis. They engaged in a discussion regarding our services, mission, vision, and future endeavours, as well as the support we offer to the broader community.

Mr Parthenopoulos also highlighted Panathinaikos’ dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities, particularly through their own basketball team for people living with autism.

Ms Giannakopoulou and Mr Parthenopoulos were given a tour of our Head Office and facilities where they were warmly welcomed by our clients and staff. The tour highlighted the various programs and services offered by our organisation, showcasing our commitment to enhancing the quality of life of vulnerable individuals. Our clients showed Ms Giannakopoulou and Mr Parthenopoulos the artwork they prepared for Panathinaikos visit in Melbourne, which left them emotional.

Before leaving, Ms Giannakopoulou and Mr Parthenopoulos thanked the staff and clients for their warm hospitality and promised to continue supporting AGAPI Care’s endeavours. Their visit left a lasting impression, strengthening the bond between the Panathinaikos Basketball Club and the local community, united in a shared vision of inclusivity and support for all.

On Saturday 13, September 2025, AGAPI Care celebrated their cocktail event at Pier Port Melbourne to acknowledge the organisations achievements and formally revealing its next chapter in delivering inclusive care across Australia.
