AGAPI Care provides a wide range of support to individuals and families across the "whole of life" continuum. AGAPI Care's goals are to enable, support and encourage people to participate fully and equally within the community, creating various pathways and opportunities of their choice. Our aim is to support people to reach their goals and aspirations: our disability support services give us the opportunity to do this. AGAPI Care's disability support services are flexible, creative and recognise the uniqueness and diversity of all individuals. We operate across three Melbourne metropolitan regions - Eastern, Southern and North-West.

Message from the General Manager Northern Territory & Queensland – Lina Pavlidou:
“I’m honoured to step into the role of General Manager for the Northern Territory and Queensland. I would like to sincerely thank our Chief Executive Officer Ms Mary Gakopoulos, the President of the organisation Mr Arthur Evriniadis, and all team members for their trust, support, and confidence in me. A special thank you to our Chief Operating Officer Mrs Ange Pilipasidis for the trust she has placed in me and for consistently going above and beyond in her leadership and support. AGAPI Care is a remarkable organisation that truly supports people and makes their lives easier, and I’m proud to be part of this mission. I’m confident that my experience will allow me to contribute meaningfully to this work, and I look forward to working closely with teams across both regions to build on strong foundations and deliver high-quality, people-centred outcomes.”

AGAPI Care is delighted to welcome Lina Pavlidou to our team as the General Manager for the Northern Territory and Queensland. Lina brings extensive experience in community services, aged care coordination, workforce management, and operational leadership, expertise that will significantly strengthen our service delivery and the support we provide to clients and families.

Lina joins us with a strong professional and ethical background acquired through her hard work and dedication to service delivery. Lina held key roles including HCP Program Brokered Coordinator and State Program Coordinator, where she specialised in coordinating community care programs, managing frontline teams, and ensuring high quality service delivery across diverse client groups.

Her experience includes:
•Workforce and rostering coordination, ensuring efficient deployment of support workers and continuity of care
• Compliance and quality assurance, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements in aged care and community services
• Operational management, including process improvement, scheduling, and service optimisation
• Client centred care planning, supporting older adults and vulnerable community members through tailored service responses
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, external providers, and community stakeholders

Lina is recognised for her solutions focused approach, strong communication skills, and her commitment to delivering services that uphold dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity, values that align closely with AGAPI Care’s mission and philosophy.

Her background in a culturally diverse and community driven organisation equips her with deep insight into the needs of CALD communities, particularly Greek Australian families, and enhances our capacity to provide inclusive, person centred support across the Northern Territory and Queensland.

Lina’s leadership, experience, and passion for community care make her an asset to AGAPI Care. We are truly excited to welcome her to the organisation and look forward to working closely with her as she contributes to the continued growth, innovation, and excellence of our services.

AGAPI Care officially opened its new short term respite facility in Oakleigh on Friday, 28 November 2025, marking a significant milestone for the organisation and the broader community. The event brought together local residents, clients, families, and members of AGAPI Care to celebrate the expansion of vital disability support services in the region.

A ceremonial ribbon cutting followed, performed by AGAPI Care President Mr Arthur Evriniadis, Chief Executive Officer Ms Mary Gakopoulos, and His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne. The moment symbolised not only the opening of a new building, but also the continuity of support for people with disabilities in Melbourne’s Inner East South region.
