💡 Did you know your poo can reveal a lot about your overall health? While it’s not the most glamorous topic, paying attention to what’s happening in the bathroom can help you catch early signs of imbalances in your body.
Here’s what to look for:
1️⃣ Shape and Consistency: The ideal poo should be smooth, sausage-shaped, and easy to pass. Too hard or too loose? That might indicate dehydration, dietary issues, or gut imbalance.
2️⃣ Frequency: Everyone’s different, but going anywhere from 1–3 times a day to a few times a week can be normal. Big changes in frequency could signal stress, dietary changes, or even an underlying condition.
3️⃣ Colour: A healthy poo is usually medium to dark brown. Unusual colours (like black, red, or very pale) can be caused by food or medication but may also signal the need for medical attention.
4️⃣ Smell: While no one expects roses, an unusually foul odour might point to poor digestion or a bacterial imbalance.
🌿 Quick Tip: A diet rich in fibre, water, and fermented foods (like yoghurt or kimchi) helps support healthy digestion and regular bowel movements.
At Bottoms Up Colonics, we believe gut health starts with awareness. If something feels off, listen to your body—it could be time for a cleanse or a deeper look at your digestive health.
