Bowen work is simple gentle yet powerful therapy in which skin slack is drawn back with fingers & thumbs to the edge of the muscle, tendon & ligaments at a particular point of the body. The man behind it all was Tom Bowen of Geelong Victoria, Australia. Tom developed this unique technique in the 50's, seeing some of 13,000 patients a year & achieving a success rate in his practice of over 80% of presenting conditions. Tom sadly passed away in 1982 from a leg amputation which got infected. His legacy lives on through Ossie & Elaine Rentsch bowen is now taught world wide.
