We've found Minecraft to be a wonderful way to develop social collaborative skills, so this research is really exciting!

Researchers at the The University of Adelaide want to know how can games, like Minecraft™ could be used to develop social collaborative skills in autistic pre-teens.

This research is co-designed with autistic Minecraft™ consumers and caregivers of autistic children who play Minecraft™

At SSO we love working with our participants and today for International Day of People with Disability - Australia we are celebrating their unique talents, viewpoints and interests 🎉

"Our participants have some really cool interests that they're extremely knowledgeable about, and I feel privileged to be let into their world" explains SSO co-founder and support worker Hamish Grant. "A mutual love of gaming makes it easy to connect with them, and I love seeing how each child tackles challenges within the games. I play these games over and over but every kid plays them differently and has an individual way of solving problems."
