January 4 each year is World Braille Day, which celebrates the independence and literacy for many blind and visually impaired people globally. The United Nations declared January 4 World Braille Day in the last decade. I have been reading Braille for many years and it has allowed me to live independently and work and contribute meaningfully to my community. Braille is in many new buildings, on bus stops and is available on request for utility bills and other documents such as contracts....
