March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, a global effort to improve recognition, support earlier diagnosis, and expand access to appropriate care. 🌍 💛

Endometriosis is often associated with chronic pelvic pain, bladder and bowel symptoms, and complex pelvic floor dysfunction, areas closely aligned with IUGA's mission to advance pelvic floor health worldwide.

📄 This month, we are highlighting recent research published in the International Urogynecology Journal (IUJ), beginning with:

“A Systematic Review of the Prevalence of Overactive Bladder in Women with Non-Urinary Tract Endometriosis and the Effect of Endometriosis Surgery on Symptoms of Overactive Bladder”

The article examines the prevalence of overactive bladder symptoms in women with non-urinary tract endometriosis and evaluates how surgical management may affect these symptoms, reinforcing the importance of integrated clinical assessment.
