Psychological well-being is a part of overall health. A recent research paper has reported once again this finding (https://doi.org/10.1037/hea0001475). What does this mean? It means that your physical health is likely to be better if you take care of your psychological health. Psychological health is improved by exercise; good diet (reduced processed foods), hanging out in nature; spending time with people you enjoy - and reducing WORRYING. Getting some control of thought processes is amazingly impactful - and this can be achieved through mindfulness - serious mindfulness..in which you spend meditative time with yourself to get to know how your thinking impacts how you feel - learning to reprogram some of those negative thought habits. Come and join one of our programs if you want to improve these skills.

Moving Beyond Mindfulness in Mental Health Care" by Brendon Kelly. Chapter 5 discusses the importance of equanimity in emotion management. MiCBT is designed to develop equanimity.
