This amount of caffeine can cause a heart attack, even if you are healthy

According to a recent study, consuming too much coffee can adversely affect heart health, as getting more than 400 milligrams of caffeine a day can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, even in healthy people.
Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world. Full of substances that help protect against common conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease and heart disease, coffee also helps with weight loss, boosts immunity and reduces inflammation due to its high antioxidant content. However, drinking too much can be harmful.

A new study has shown that consuming more than 400 mg (miligam) of caffeine per day, equivalent to about four regular cups of coffee or ten cans of soda, can cause heart attacks, even in healthy people.

Dr. Nancy Kagathara, lead author of the study at the Zydus College of Medicine and Hospital in Dahod, India, explained that "regular caffeine consumption can disrupt the parasympathetic system, leading to increased blood pressure and heart rate."

The effect of consuming too much caffeine depends on the sensitivity of the individual

According to the US Food and Drug Administration, although 400 mg of caffeine per day usually does not cause side effects some people are more sensitive because caffeine is metabolized at different rates.

What is caffeine and how does it affect your cardiovascular system?

Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant found in more than 60 plants, including coffee beans, tea, chocolate and guarana. Caffeine is also added to many foods, drinks and medicines, such as energy drinks, soft drinks, painkillers and sobriety pills.

According to doctors, caffeine causes high blood pressure in the short term, especially in people who do not drink regularly. This happens because it blocks adenosine receptors in the aorta, causing the body to increase adenosine levels, then stimulates receptors that increase sympathetic tone, catecholamine and renin secretion. All of this causes a spike in your blood pressure level.

Caffeine also increases your heart rate by causing the release of noradrenaline and norepinephrine. In many others, caffeine is also associated with atrial fibrillation, which causes tachycardia when consumed continuously, according to Times Now.

How does Cordyceps boost your energy? πŸ€”

**Increased ATP Production:** Cordyceps are believed to increase the body's production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is essential for delivering energy to the muscles. This can improve how your body uses oxygen, especially during exercise, potentially enhancing endurance and reducing fatigue. πŸ’ͺπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

**Improved Exercise Performance:** Studies have shown that cordyceps can improve exercise performance in both older and younger adults by increasing VO2 max, a measure of fitness level. πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ This means you might feel more energetic and capable during physical activities.

**Anti-Fatigue Properties:** Cordyceps can help reduce fatigue by supporting cellular energy production and optimizing your stress response. Unlike caffeine, cordyceps provides a natural energy boost without the jitters or crash. πŸ˜΄β˜•οΈ

**Antioxidant Effects:** The antioxidant properties of cordyceps can help fight cell damage and reduce oxidative stress, which can contribute to overall vitality and energy levels. πŸ›‘οΈπŸŒΏ
