We are Australia`s premier holistic skin destination, and Naturopathic Skin Clinic. Asha had a long history of stubborn and severe cystic acne and pigmentation. Being frustrated at the lack of safe options for resolution, she embarked upon a decade`s worth of academic study to learn all about the internal and external mechanisms of skin disorders. In 2012 Asha opened her first clinic. Si

nce then Asha and her team have helped hundred`s of clients resolve their skin issues with a combination of Naturopathy, Functional Pathology Testing, External Treatments & Therapeutic Skincare. Snacks should be like mini meals 🥣 with macronutrients of PROTEIN, FAT & FIBRE 🥬

Our reception + skin store is open from 9am Tuesday 5th for all of your skin essentials.
The last few weeks has been a Rona roller coaster for us, and we are so grateful for your support and patience.
Treatments will kick off tomorrow (weds 6th) as we get our full squad back 👯‍♀️💕
As always, feel free to pop your product orders through the website or call us to arrange a click and collect.

Let’s chat red light & acne 💡 🌈 📣

Undeniably the hero 🦸‍♀️ of the wavelengths, yes we do use red for acne!! 😮

In fact, red light dives deep into the follicle & disrupts acne bacteria, reduces inflammation & irritation as well as having a soothing effect. Yes please.

Red is the “great for all skin” light (and amazing for long term, whilst blue should be used short term - more about that in another post)

Red light will also: 🚨
- stimulate collagen production
- increase fibroblast activity (they make the collagen!)
- increase circulation to the tissue (hello wound healing)
- reduce inflammation in cells
- reduce wrinkles, fine lines (there’s your anti ageing function)
- improve skin texture (that red light glow)

Also… it has many ‘non-skin’ therapeutic benefits like helping with sleep, mood & energy. Dayum. 🤤

Feeling like your acne just won’t budge??

Have you checked your stress levels? What would you rate them out of 10? Does your skin clear up on holiday, even if your diet is worse?

It is THE biggest driving factor for so many of our clients 😭

But WHY?

Well, it’s a domino effect. Cortisol wreaks havoc on our skin cells.
It also:
- increases thick, sticky oily production
- damages collagen (hello scarring)
- increases pigmentation
- lowers Hyaluronic acid (which dehydrates skin and lowers enzyme activity)
- compromises the skin barrier, allowing pe*******on of bacteria and microbes 🦠
- upsets our hormonal imbalance & increases DHT (sore, cystic jawline acne)
- shuts down our immune response
- leads to leaky gut and food sensitivities
- affect insulin and inflammation

There’s a whole lot for the skin to juggle!

There are many ways to counteract stress (sadly not margaritas 🍸 on repeat) but the easiest way to step outta stress and support your skin is to:
- sleep (8 + hours)
- move (esp. yoga)
- eat (30 grams protein per meal, lots of veggies 🥕 + good fats whilst avoiding caffeine ☕️ sugar 🍭 and refined gluten 🥖 and 🥛)
