I recorded this little message straight from my heart — because this day felt too important to let pass quietly.
Motherhood. What a word.
We say the Earth is the Mother. Not because of gender — but because of what she does. She holds. She nourishes. She never stops giving.
That quality of motherhood — that capacity to nurture, to be patient, to keep showing up — it lives in all of us. In mothers, yes. But also in fathers, grandparents, teachers, aunties, uncles. Anyone who has ever loved a child into their best self.
Here's a question I sit with often: When you leave this world, what do you truly leave behind?
Not your house. Not your savings account. Not anything you can count or carry.
You leave your children.
You leave the next generation — the human beings who will one day hold this world in their hands. The balance of the world, as my teacher used to say, is maintained because there are still good people on this earth.
So what are we really building when we raise a child?
This is why, in my parent-child yoga classes and children's programs, I don't just teach movement. I help children build a relationship with their own minds. Breathwork that calms. Practices that build focus. Moments of stillness where they can hear themselves think.
Because a child who knows how to breathe through fear... that child grows into a human who can handle this world.
Watch the video — I share more from the heart
And to every mother watching this: you are doing something sacred. Even on the days it doesn't feel that way. Especially on those days.
Sending you all so much love today.
If this resonated with you, share it with a mum who needs to hear it today.
Tell me in the comments — what is the one thing your mother taught you that you carry with you always?
