Dear patients,
We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support to Railway Road Medical Centre. We are committed to provide quality community care.
However, due to rising operational costs and economic factors beyond our control, maintaining our high-quality care under the current bulk billing system is no longer feasible. After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we must transition to a mixed billing arrangement.
We are moving to mixed billing from 1st July 2024.
Patients who have valid Medicare cards and who fall in the below categories they are still bulk billed.
• Children under 16 years of age
• Commonwealth Concession Card holders/ Pensioner card holder
• DVA Gold Card Holders
• Care plan, Care plan reviews, Health assessment
Our team has thoughtfully reviewed our fee structure to ensure it remains affordable while continuing to provide you with high-quality care. Please note that our charges are not based on the length of your consultation.
Instead, we will implement a standard gap payment in addition to the Medicare rebate. This approach helps us maintain the quality of our services while keeping the fees manageable for our patients.

• Weekdays - $15
• Saturday - $20
• Sunday and Public Holidays - $25
To streamline your visit and ease the billing process, our reception team will assist in claiming your Medicare benefits on your behalf immediately following your consultation.
