Today is the day we have all been waiting for with the social media ban for kids under 16 years old going into effect!

Understandably, young people are going to feel withdrawal symptoms from their accounts and their mental health may drop rapidly for the first few weeks of withdrawal. Some are even predicting "he**in" like withdrawal symptoms...

Remember, these platforms are designed to keep us addicted and that is exactly what they have done!

The "Let them Be Kids" campaign is available to watch to help parents combat the ban with their young people.

Please encourage any people to reach out if they are feeling the impacts of this as, it is a real thing that is really happening!

This can't come soon enough where our next generation of children will benefit from this!

This website can help parents with sources and direction - The Centre for Excellence in Child and Welfare.

*********TRIGGER WARNING OF SU***DE IN THIS VIDEO **********

News Corp Australia’s Let Them Be Kids campaign set out to protect children from the harms of social media. Through advocacy, expert insights, and the personal stories of families tragically affected, the campaign helped drive a landmark law raising the social media age to 16.

If you are looking for a worthwhile and meaningful cause to get behind at Christmas- here is a wonderful idea from HOME in Queanbeyan :)

Christmas Appeal

HOME provides a long-term home for 20 people living with an enduring mental illness. Each resident lives in a self-contained unit in a safe, loving and non-institutional setting.

Each person lives with an enduring mental illness, and many do not have family to share Christmas with.

We are asking for your help to provide each resident with a $50 gift card to a store of their choosing.

By donating $50, you can directly sponsor a resident’s Christmas gift card.

Thank you for helping us make Christmas brighter for our residents.

Happy Birthday to our Handyman and Allrounder Graham!
The one we call when there is a creepy crawly we are scared of, leaking taps, blown light globes, crazy smoke alarms going off and generally everything to be fair!
Have the best birthday!
