I am a Certified Infant Massage Instructor helping parents bond with their babies through massage and teaching families about the benefits of massage for their little ones.

Yesterday we were at as a guest speaker talking all things infant massage.
We dissued the benefits of massage, recomended oils, contraindications, asking permission and also learnt the massage sequence for Colic and Constipation.
This sequence is simple but super effective for our little ones.

Asking permision for massage.....

We always ask permission before massage for our little ones. This gives them the opportunity to say yes or no. Why? Teaching consent from an early age helps with the building blocks for consent as they get older.

How can a newborn or young baby provide consent?
They learn the consent sequence and we respond to their cues.

Yes: A calm baby, smiling, pulling our hands towards them, eye contact

No: Avoiding eye contact, crying, trying to or rolling away, pushing our hands away

We ask permission before begining and again before chest massage. We ask in 2 different ways but we always ask the same way for each.

Massage isn't just for bub it's for mums and dads to. Massage time is a time to bond with your little one.

Classes run on Mondays in Queanbeyan and Tuesdays in Yarralumla.

Classes run for 4 consecutive weeks.

All attendees receive a free bottle of pure organic cold pressed massage oil.
