Anodising has the same composition as Sapphire and Ruby and therefore is very hard wearing and is chemically bonded to the aluminium surface and will not flake off. Its appealing and lively metallic colour is a result of the way that light bounces of it, anodising is a transparent surface that is coloured using special dyes, light travels through this transparent layer, bounces off the reflective substrate of the aluminium and meets your eye. So the texture on the aluminium determines the look and feel of the object, it is not like paint the surface you start with is fairly much what you will see through the anodising. We offer 19 base colours, including clear and black and will custom colour match to your specifications.
