Celebrating Baby Anna’s 1st birthday - tube free 🙌

Doctors have approved that Anna no longer needs her oxygen tube and nasogastric tube 🤗

She’s breathing well and her eating is improving 🙏

We will continue with 2 Bowen Treatments per week, but if it ends up as 1 treatment in a week that’s ok now too..

Believing for a bright and healthy future for Anna - week by week, month by month, strength to strength

Wishing Richard all the very best wishes on his 80th Birthday! (A little belated) 🥳 🎈🙏

Richard has been a foundational client in our Breathe community - always adding life and joy to the classes he’s in!

He’s a blessing to all who cross his path, always interested in others and showing much care to those around him, never shy of a laugh 😅, and amazing at Pilates! - Incredible strength, flexibility and agility for a man of 80!! 🙌

Richards catch phrase is ‘Do it while you can!’ 🤗

It is with a mix of sadness and much gratitude that we announce Holly will be taking a break from our Breathe studio. 🌷🙏😔

Holly has been an amazing leader in our community - always showing up with so much warmth, care, fun and professionalism. She was amazing with our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community - always working on her signing, and the love between them was equally reciprocated 🥰

We are so grateful to have had Holly with us for the past couple of years.. and it’s now time for Holly to catch her breath a bit and focus on her other full time job with increasing demands, and her family.

Thank you for everything Holly! 🙏 We look forward to seeing you in the studio doing some Pilates for yourself and filling in to teach the odd class! This isn’t goodbye for good - just a change to how things previously looked.. You’ll always be a part of our Breathe community 🥰🍃🌷💛

Wednesdays 1.45pm - 2.45pm fortnightly starting April 1st. $50 per person

We will turn the Pilates studio into a Relaxing clinic in a group setting - turning the Reformers into massage tables to lie on, with dim lighting, quiet relaxing music, where you can come in, let your body deeply relax, allowing the Bowen to take your body out of a Fight and Flight State and into a Rest and Repair state - resetting your nervous system and body 🍃

After 2 months of treating Baby Anna with Bowen Therapy, her breathing rate has come down considerably after major lung surgery at birth 11 months ago. She can now drink and eat naturally without it going into her lungs - and she is looking so happy and free 🤗

Credit to the lady on the airplane who insisted to Annas parents that Anna needs Bowen Therapy to calm her nervous system, to take her body out of Fight & Flight, and to stimulate the Vagus Nerve to slow her breathing and heartrate 🙏

I’ve been treating Anna twice a week working on calming her nervous system, bringing her body out of a Sympathetic state (Flight and fight) and into a Parasympathetic state (Rest, digest and repair) as well some respiratory work. I’ve shown Anna’s Dad how to do a respiratory procedure daily at home to add on to this…

No more nasogastric tube - Anna is happily drinking milk and communicating when she’s hungry and wants more, eating some puréed food, and is very active, full of energy - happily exploring her world as she should be at her age.

This is primarily what we’re working on in a Bowen treatment.. An incredible part of our bodies!

🍃One sheet connecting every part of our bodies.
🍃Highly innervated with nerves
🍃Holds lymphatic and blood vessels
🍃Transmits a lot of communication throughout
the body..

Constricted fascia can negatively impact the lymphatic system, circulatory system, musculoskeletal system and nervous system. Once fascia is released, these systems can function and flow much more efficiently! 🍃
