A big thank you to Winanga-li for providing the location and a delicious lunch, and staff would like to thank Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation for the wonderful Easter prizes and for supporting Walhealth in running a fantastic program for our Elders to gather and socialise. We also extend our gratitude to Aboriginal Employment Strategy - Tamworth for supplying the amazing Easter raffle prizes for the day.

Congratulations to the raffle winners Shirley & Barb!! 🎉

World Oral Health Day 🦷🪥

Your oral health is more than just your teeth it’s a key part of your overall health and wellbeing. Problems in the mouth can lead to pain, infections, difficulty eating, and can even be linked to other health issues like heart disease and diabetes.

When your oral health isn’t looked after, it can impact everyday life from the way you eat and speak, to your confidence and how you feel day to day. Something as simple as a sore tooth or inflamed gums can quickly turn into bigger issues if left untreated.

The good news is, most oral health problems are preventable. Brushing twice a day, cutting back on sugary drinks, drinking water, and seeing a dentist regularly can make a big difference.

Looking after your mouth is looking after your whole self. If it’s been a while, this is your sign to book in for a check-up.

Closing the gap means backing real, community-led change and continuing the work every day not just today.
