Hepatitis A virus has been found in the Tamworth community. Stay safe during the CMF

Hepatitis A can be serious if it’s not picked up early.

If you feel unwell, or have been around someone with hepatitis A or similar symptoms, please go to your GP, local health clinic or AMS as soon as you can.

You may be tested (a simple blood test if needed) and offered a vaccine to help protect you and your family.

Washing your hands thoroughly with soap and running water, preparing food safely and keeping shared spaces like the bathroom and kitchen clean will help stop the spread of hepatitis A.
