“Stillness to the scattered mind mistakenly feels like nothingness, like dying” words by Boyd Varty. I have this week had an underlying feeling of anxiety stemming I think from the news and trauma of the conflict in the Middle East, the rising cost of living, and in truth it didn’t help that I watched the Epstein files to try and understand how such a crime could happen and still be allowed to happen! It profoundly affected me and saddened me!
Generally I steer well clear of most news articles and sensational documentaries picking what I choose to watch or read carefully to allow me to stay alert to danger and be conversational in the world but not immersed in sensationalism editorials that induce fear and panic and that I have little control over and are thus a waste of my time and energy and take me off course.
Stillness and time in nature always brings perspective and grounding to my racing scattered mind. We are an anxious generation living in a virtual world. Everyday at work as a pharmacist I notice people of all walks losing capability for living and thriving in this world. This saddens me too, it’s certainly not easy in todays environment, I personally am finding it harder each year to stay resilient and hopeful, it seems a lot easier a few decades ago, is it me just ageing or has there been a massive shift in intensity in life since 2000 and the internet and the coming of AI?
However, there is hope and there is refuge , just like an eddy in a river stream current , sitting quietly in that safe pool behind a rock we can be still, breathe, set intention, think good, think love realise there is a trail or path that we follow that no one else can see but as we become still the path becomes clearer, and then launch back into the current of life with our mind , body and spirit aligned to make this world a better place for everything in it🥰🛶🧭🥾🚵⛰🌲Hope to see you at one of our many up and coming events , visit our website https://www.farmacyoutdoors.com.au/
