For years, I tried to “fix” the surface.
Positive thinking.
Better habits.
More discipline.
Different therapies.
And yet… the heaviness would come back.
The anxiety would cycle.
The physical symptoms would return.
What I didn’t understand back then was this:
Your body doesn’t create symptoms randomly.
It’s protecting unprocessed trauma.
When trauma isn’t fully processed, it gets stored — in the nervous system, in the fascia, in the organs, in the subconscious patterns running your life.
And when you finally start healing at the root?
Things can temporarily intensify.
This is the part no one talks about.
The fatigue.
The emotional waves.
The old memories surfacing.
The strange physical sensations.
It’s called a healing crisis.
And it’s not your body breaking down.
It’s your body releasing what it’s been holding for years.
If I had known this earlier, I wouldn’t have panicked every time symptoms resurfaced.
I wouldn’t have thought I was failing.
I would have understood that my system was recalibrating.
Deep healing isn’t always comfortable.
But it’s liberating.
When you heal at the root:
• Patterns stop repeating
• Symptoms don’t need to scream
• Your nervous system finally feels safe
• Your body stops fighting you
