Australia Day is a time to celebrate our beautiful country, connect with loved ones, and enjoy some delicious food. 🎉 But celebrations don’t have to derail your health journey! Let’s make this Australia Day one to remember—for all the right reasons. 🌟
Here are a few simple tips to enjoy the day while staying on track:
1⃣ Start your day with a healthy breakfast: A combination of protein, fat, and fibre will set you up for less hunger throughout the day. Try eggs, avocado, and mushrooms 🍄 or Greek yoghurt (no added sugar) topped with fresh berries and nuts. 🍇🧀
2⃣ Fire up the BBQ with healthy options: Choose lean meats, seafood, and plenty of veggies. Think grilled prawns 🍤, chicken skewers 🍗, grilled lamb cutlets, or veggie kebabs 🌽.
3⃣ Rethink the sides: Swap heavy potato salads for a fresh garden salad 🥗 or roasted sweet potatoes.
4⃣ Stay hydrated: Enjoy your favourite drinks, but balance with plenty of water 💧in between to keep you feeling your best.
