We can provide services in both clinical settings and around the Sydney metropolitan area. Travelling from our office in Ramsgate, we service the Northern Beaches, Katoomba, Wollongong and everywhere in between, reaching populations around the region which may not have otherwise had access to psychological services. We also have strong relationships with schools and organisations around Sydney. Our psychologists can visit schools and get programs up and running quickly. Our flexibility is also advantageous for our work with foster children and their carers. We provide contracting services to Out of Home Care organisations, in our office, in non-clinical settings or the school environment. Our ability to take these children outside of a clinical environment, such as to kick a ball, really resonates well for them. When children move within the Sydney region our psychologists can continue to see them, providing greater stability. Supportive

Here at Concepts Psychology, our experienced psychologists have been servicing the wider Sydney community for the past 25 years.
Our team provides:

Psychological therapy for children, adolescents, and adults

Psychometric, educational, developmental, functional, autism, memory, ADHD, and mental health assessments
Behaviour support plans and implementation

Assessment of the neurodevelopment domains that support paediatricians’ investigation of FASD

Early autism identification using the SACS (Social Attention and Communication Surveillance) tool for children aged 12–30 months and preschool-aged children

Our psychologists are trained in modalities including:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Play Therapy

Trauma-Informed Care

We tailor our approach to each client’s developmental and emotional needs, working collaboratively with professionals, families, schools and childcare centres. Therapy and assessment sessions are offered at our Ramsgate office, on school grounds, or other off-site locations.

For those requiring a comprehensive assessment, behaviour support, or therapeutic service across the Sydney Metropolitan area, we are pleased to inform you that one of our registered Psychologists has just opened up further days in their diary.

Our psychologists provide assessments informed by national guidelines and evidenced-based interventions from childhood to adulthood.

The assessments we conduct encompass:

We are hiring!

Here at Concepts Psychology, we pride ourselves on being a leading private practice specialising in child and family Psychology.

We are currently seeking 2 x Provisional Psychologists to join our team.

These positions are full-time and involve providing therapy for children in out-of-home care, developing positive behaviour support plans and conducting assessments for children and adolescents across the community.

The applicants will need to be capable of working independently as well as part of a small team environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as organisational skills are essential.

Additional requirements:

Drivers License and Car
Valid Working with Children Check
