👉Plantar fasciitis what is it? 👈
Plantar fasciitis or ‘heel pain’ is inflammation of the ligamentous band that runs from your heel, through the arch and into the toes. It is the most common condition that podiatrists see. 👣
COMMON CAUSES OF PLANTAR FASCIITIS:
🔸High arched foot
🔸Pronated or ‘flat feet’
🔸Injury from impact
🔸Tight muscles- calf and plantar fascia
🔸Change in footwear
🔸Increase or change in activity

Here at SOLE THERAPY we will complete a biomechanical analysis to diagnose the root cause of your plantar fasciitis and look to not only treat your pain but fix that underlying cause. Some of the treatments we may use include:

Ever wonder why bunions occur?
👉Bunions are formed due to the big toe turning towards the lesser digits.
This can happen at as young as pre-teen or later in life. 👣
There are 5 main reasons as to why bunions occur and they include,
➡️Narrow/pointed shoes
➡️Genetics (particularly females)
➡️Flat feet
➡️Pregnancy
➡️Menopause
😉Want to avoid bunion surgery? Try this exercise to keep range of motion through your big toes! 👍
✅Toe Dexterity Exercises: Try and lift the big toe by itself and press the smaller toes into the ground. Hold for 10- 15 seconds. Press the big toe into the ground and lift the smaller toes. Hold for 10-15 seconds.

Inspirational weekend. One of our favourite modalities explored. We use our skill to diagnose and treat pain and pathology. This weekend we ran an intimate course into the art of how biomechanics, dry needling and acupuncture can fix foot, knee and back pain. Great group. Very proud of the results we achieved in learning but also in healing those whom attended.
