We often treat the new year like a magical reset button, a fresh start that will make all our good intentions easier to follow, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Nevertheless, we don’t have to wait for 2026 or for any future milestone to start welcoming more of what makes us feel alive and full.⁣

We can choose these intentions now, today, and every day going forward. We can pursue soulful dreams that excite us. We can carve out time for ourselves, find peace worth protecting, and dive into adventures that scare us in all the right ways. Growth and authenticity don’t need a set date; neither does the love worth sharing or the friendships that nourish us.⁣

When I create posts like this, please realize the point isn’t to wait. It’s to welcome these changes into our lives whenever we’re ready, even if it’s messy and just one small step at a time. We don’t have to get it perfect. The magic isn’t in the date, but in those tiny “yes” moments we give ourselves.⁣

Maybe your journaling journey starts with you simply picking one (suggesting ones I’ve created with The Rising Circle if any feel right for you), or your novel begins with a single sentence scribbled during your lunch break. That’s not just okay because it’s exactly how the best stories start.⁣

Right now, in this moment, you have permission to begin. To laugh a little louder, to love a little braver, to live a little fuller. Because the life you’re dreaming of? It’s already within reach, waiting for you to say “yes” to its first hello.⁣

Your next chapter doesn’t need a special date. It just needs you, exactly as you are, ready to turn the page.⁣

Our thoughts are with every person and community impacted by the terrible attack at Bondi yesterday 🧡

In the aftermath of traumatic events, you might be feeling distressed, tearful and anxious, this is entirely normal and could linger for many days or even weeks.

Trauma can have far-reaching effects on the mind and body. It can cause people to have difficulty sleeping or to feel very anxious, especially about returning to the scene of a trauma.

It can be hard to know what to do or how to help others who may need it. Below you will find some practical ways to take care of yourself after a traumatic event has occurred 👇
