We were pleased to welcome Emma McBride MP, Assistant Minister for Mental Health and Rural and Regional Health, alongside Matt Thistlethwaite MP, our local Federal Member for Kingsford Smith, to our centre last week.
The visit was an opportunity to showcase the breadth of evidence-based supports we offer to children, young people and their families, and to discuss how The Kidman Centre continues to support youth mental health through four decades of research informed, clinical and preventative services.
Our team shared how programs such as SuperParent Powers, Thrive, Teacher Toolkit, and our anti-bullying support and education initiatives are making a tangible difference in social, emotional and mental wellbeing outcomes for young people, as well as for their carers and educators.
Early intervention and prevention are central to The Kidman Centre’s work. Our programs continue to support and align with government priorities to strengthen community-based supports and cross sector collaboration for young people across Australia.
Thank you, Emma McBride MP and Matt Thistlethwaite MP, for taking the time to visit and for your ongoing commitment to youth mental health.
