Why balance training makes you worse at balance.

Standing on one leg. Wobble boards. Unstable surfaces. We practice being OFF balance and wonder why we never feel stable.

Here's the shift: start with both feet firmly planted. Feel what balance actually is. Let your body map the sensation—which muscles engage, how stability feels, what your nervous system needs to know.

Move while maintaining that feeling. Stay balanced throughout the movement, not despite it.

When your body truly understands balance from the ground up, something remarkable happens. You progress faster to single-leg work than those who started there. You go further because you built the foundation first.

Most people try to run before they can walk. In balance training, we're trying to hop before we can stand.
Feel it first. Build from there. Progression is everything.

I've seen 70-year-old women with degenerative diseases experience more freedom and ease in their body than they had in decades...and in as little as 90 minutes of exploring gentle movement.
