We love supporting our clients access their community 🫶

This client is an AMAZING swimmer and a total water child 🌊. So we took advantage of the sunshine and headed to Innot Hot Springs. Where we swam at the Innot Hot Springs Leisure & Health Park

Between the warmth of the water, the action of the jets, the buoyancy, the sounds 👂and the smells👃, the sensory experience of soaking in a pool is a distinctly relaxing one. This calming effect can be particularly valuable for those with autism, who often find themselves experiencing sensory overload 🤯

Hydrotherapy has proven quite effective in producing a calming and healing effect on the minds and moods of those with autism, particularly children 🤩. This is supported by multiple studies, once in which children with ASD showed significant improvements in levels of anxiety and depression, and in thought and attention problems after four weeks of hydrotherapy. Another showed that hydrotherapy led to improvements in the social interactions/behaviours of children diagnosed with ASD.

We love supporting our clients access their community 🫶

This week we took some of our beautiful clients to Babinda Rainforest Farm

They enjoyed feeding the alpacas🥕🦙, feeling their fleece 🧶, and cuddling some chickens 🐔.

On the way through the Babinda Rainforest 🍃we saw a crocodile 🐊 sun baking on the sand bank.

We learned so much information about Michelle and Norm’s gorgeous farm stay 🏕️ and about the animals they keep! Did you know that Alpaca ears have short spear-shaped ears while llamas have much longer, banana-shaped ears 🍌? Or that Alpaca’s, Llamas and Camels are all related? 🧐
