Unmask Your Inner Hero at the RDA Superhero Dinner Dance!

Rotary Raymond Terrace is teaming up with the Riding for the Disabled Raymond
Terrace & Lower Hunter Centre to throw a night of epic proportions—and it’s all for a
cause that’s close to home.
After a year of wild weather and tough terrain, the RDA Centre is facing serious
challenges. Their incredible horses—who give their all to support riders of all abilities—
need urgent help:
• More feed to stay strong
• Veterinary care to stay healthy
• A new tractor to keep the grounds safe and ride-ready
So, we’re calling on every caped crusader, masked marvel, and everyday legend to join
us for the RDA Superhero Dinner Dance on Saturday, 29 November 2025 at the Spinning
Wheel Hotel, 82 Port Stephens Street, Raymond Terrace. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with
the action starting at 6:30 PM sharp.
Tickets on sale till Saturday 22nd November 2025—available online only at

Choose your mission:
• Standard Hero Seat – $65 (includes a heroic two-course meal)
• Ghost Seat – $65 donation (not attending but donating cost of a seat to RDA)
• Superhero on the Edge Seat – $30 (perimeter seating, no meal, but all the fun)

This is not just aimed for our RDA Family’s and Volunteers but for the wider community.

RDA had a surprise visitor this morning! This little stray cat captured the hearts of our participants and volunteers as they made their appearance - rubbing against legs, purring, and even jumping into cars. The cat is definitely not feral and must have a home. They wouldn’t let me lift their tail to check whether they are male or female, and they have a lump on their spine, which suggests they may have been in an accident some time ago. Please share this to help our little friend find their way home.

Announcement the Fathers Day Raffle has been drawn on video after the Saturday 2 Riding group.

Dani the fundraising officer will be in contact with the winners for collecting if their prizes.

I hear that Monday rode their dress up Disney Theme for the Ride-A-Thon on the 18th August….,,,🐀🐀

I wonder who got the most donations from their family and friends to help support their favorite four legged friends to help keep RDA operating.

With Some Minnie Mouse’s in the house and a fair maiden and a pink treasure cat and some interesting looking thing not a Disney Character the Queen of hearts made an entry to RDA today.

All looked pretty as if they were out of a Disney Movie.

And with a sprinkle of extra horse dust they were all gone again for the day. 🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀

Rda is currently having a Fathers Day Raffle participants and volunteers are offered raffle tickets to go home and sell.

There is 3 prizes all with bbq items within them.

And to bring back to the centre by the 30th of August.

Raffle will be drawn on the 1st of September by a committee member.

All money made will go to RDA. $2.00 for one,
3 for $5.00.

I have some books with tickets if anyone would like to be in our raffle draw.

With tinker bell, and lions and fair maidens Cuzco and sadness from disney movie and some random Rda folk. And many other Disney characters.

All looked pretty as if they were out of a Disney Movie.

Thank you to all the helpers who supported our day yesterday at Bunnings Kotara.

It was an interesting day of rain and sunshine and more rain and sun. But thanks to the hope of seeing the rainbow on the way in to the store.

And with constant runs of customers and then having to change BBQs over in the middle of the day after the lunch time rush….

Still managed to not have a bad run of a day.
And thanks to out side of rda volunteers for helping it was a good day.

Volunteers needed to help run a bbq…

Apologies for the late notice however we’ve been handed a surprise last minute opportunity to host a fundraising BBQ at Bunnings Kotara this Sunday the 10th.

We would love your help on the day if you’re available for an hour or two to assist with cooking or serving, or set up/pack up.

Hours are: Sunday 10th - 8.00 to 4pm we need the most help around the lunch time spree so if you’re local or going to be in or near the area on the day please consider joining us and lending a hand to make it a successful day of fundraising and community engagement.

You don’t have to help all day but if you can spend any time to help it would be greatly appreciated. A roster will be set for peoples times.
