RDA Volunteers are needed….

Did you hear our radio announcement about needing volunteers or you have really wanted to volunteer with RDA.

Well RDA has just started back training with Monday and Tuesday and every second Saturday and Stroud Carriage Driving has just had a session of training this week.

Tuesday is needing volunteers and so is the Maintenance Team which are there on a Thursday and is run by the caretaker.

📍 Irrawang Park, Pacific Highway, Raymond Terrace

No experience is necessary, we train as we go. People over the age of 16 need to have an active working with children’s check number which can be applied for through the children’s guardian or with help of service NSW and need 100% id.

Please feel free to show up on a Monday or a Tuesday or this Saturday 2 and ask a coach on how to be a volunteer.

Saturday 2 will be at the Centre this week for their second training day of our horses, if you just want to pop out and say hi and ask questions feel free to do so between 8.30-12pm.

But if you want to join on the day feel free to bring your filled water bottle and wear enclosed shoes and bring a hat incase, bring your wwc number with you and someone can help you become a volunteer.

Hey everyone today is the day to come and check out the Hunter Regions Street Machines at Hunter Valley Gardens.
All proceeds made will go to support our RDA Centre.

We have been working with them to advertise for this day as well as out our BBQ’s.

Well what a unsettling day if rain and dark clouds and more rain and dark clouds.

But with a great bunch of people to help on the latest bbq… it still was a great day.
And another day of running out of gas on the bbq. And to be waiting to serve sausages again.

Big thanks to my volunteer Di for organizing some of our donations towards this bbq and the last one.

And thanks to the crew who come and worked today to help our centre could have not done it without you and my bestie thanks.

A big thank you to all who helped with the bbq at Bunnings today. Another worthy day and thanks to our friends Hunter Region Street Machines for bringing a few cars out to park up and check out before it rained.

*Hunter Region Street Machines are having a Show N Shine in the Vines Sun 15 Feb 2026 10am to 2pm. It’s a gold coin donation at gate entry general admission or $10 per vehicle entry. *

And they are supporting Rda by funds raised from this event.

So get revved up to come and check out this awesome event.

Wow what a way to have a Super Hero Dinner Dance at the Spinner.

Some great company and dance moves after all the formal things of best dressed prizes and raffles and the auction.

Big thanks to Dani and Janet Hudson and Adam and Michelle from Rotary and to Greg from Rotary. And to our compare for the night Bruce from (Alexander Park Dressage club).

Thanks to the Muso of the night Geoff, for some great dance tunes. And keeping our inclusive arts dancers on their toes…. And others.

And a Big Thank you to the entire Inclusive Arts Dance Team for their performances.
And for helping us celebrate what RDA is with some ex Rda participants in their dance crew. Thank You Pam the amazing dance instructor.

And Thank You to”Sheree from Medowie who made our awesome cake of the night.

And most importantly Thank You to our Suoer Hero’s “Batman”, “Red Ninja Turtle”,Spider-Man”.

Hopefully can be bigger next year and a different time of the year.

Pssst….. Have you heard it’s fast closing in on our next event. RDA Raymond Terrace are teaming up with the Rotary of Raymond Terrace.

The Christmas Day Event is on the 22nd of November, at Raymond Terrace Centro.

So be ready to come and check out this event at the Raymond Terrace Centro this coming Saturday The Christmas Day Event time is from 9am -2pm.

And then there’s SuperHero Dinner Dance is on the 29th of November at the Spinning Wheel Hotel in Raymond Terrace. From 6.30-late,
tickets can be bought for $65 for a two course meal or u can buy a ticket to just be on a seat outside the table area for no meal or if you cannot make the night you can purchase a “ghost seat” of $65.
Come dressed as your favorite Super Hero.
All proceeds from the night will go to RDA Raymond Terrace.

Maybe even a director of RDA could come and join us for this event.
