I hear those riders of Tuesday rode their dress up Disney Theme for the Ride-A-Thon Today…. 🐀🐀

I wonder who got the most donations from their family and friends to help support their favorite four legged friends to help keep RDA operating.

With tinker bell, and lions and fair maidens Cuzco and sadness from disney movie and some random Rda folk. And many other Disney characters.

All looked pretty as if they were out of a Disney Movie.

And with a sprinkle of horse dust they were all gone again for the day. 🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀

Thank you to all the helpers who supported our day yesterday at Bunnings Kotara.

It was an interesting day of rain and sunshine and more rain and sun. But thanks to the hope of seeing the rainbow on the way in to the store.

And with constant runs of customers and then having to change BBQs over in the middle of the day after the lunch time rush….

Still managed to not have a bad run of a day.
And thanks to out side of rda volunteers for helping it was a good day.

Volunteers needed to help run a bbq…

Apologies for the late notice however we’ve been handed a surprise last minute opportunity to host a fundraising BBQ at Bunnings Kotara this Sunday the 10th.

We would love your help on the day if you’re available for an hour or two to assist with cooking or serving, or set up/pack up.

Hours are: Sunday 10th - 8.00 to 4pm we need the most help around the lunch time spree so if you’re local or going to be in or near the area on the day please consider joining us and lending a hand to make it a successful day of fundraising and community engagement.

You don’t have to help all day but if you can spend any time to help it would be greatly appreciated. A roster will be set for peoples times.

Pssst I hear the RAT is on the way……. 🐀🐀🐀

RDA’s R-A-T is a special event in which all RDA participants can be involved, helping to care for THEIR own special ‘Awesome Horse’ 🐀

How can you Participate in the R-A-T? Riders/Drivers can Ask their family, friends and neighbours to sponsor you in this special event, using this form.
RDA will thank you and your horse will ne-e-e-e-e-igh all the way to the feed shed.
What will you be doing at the R-A-T? You can dress up or bring something representing your favourite Disney character. Participating on the
day might be a little more challenging, BUT it will be a whole lot of FUN!! 🐀

A great day of Disney themed activities and maybe marvelous morning tea in Disney style.

Why does RDA have a R-A-T? August 1st, every year, horses all over the world, celebrate their HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! It is your way of thanking RDA’s very special, ‘Awesome Horses’ for being there for you each week.

Monday will be having their ride on the 18th, Tuesday will be 12th and Saturday 2 will be the 23rd of August.

The rider / driver to earn the most money raised by sponsorship will receive a prize.
And all Rider /Drivers will receive a certificate for participating. 🐀

And hopefully the days will provide photos to share of their Disney Day.

Our Tuesday Group of Coach, Riders & Volunteers had the pleasure of greeting the “Maitland Classic Motor Association Incorporated” to our Centre.

A lovely morning tea was provided.

A Big Thank You to committee Secretary Lesley-Ann for dealing with greeting the visitors and trying to find room for all the cars to park.

Ian Scanlon presented RDA with a cheque of $5000. Which will go towards helping the ongoing up keep and running of the Centre as we are non for profit.

A bit late but two of our Saturday 2 Riders was not about long enough for the Mounted Games Day ribbons for the day.

So congratulations to Evie and Charlie of Saturday 2 they both rose very well.

May of not placed or did place but it was a big day for all of these new riders of our Saturday program.

So it’s nearly that time of the RDA Year for”RDA’s Ride-A-Thon……

🐀 Horses Birthday is nearly here 1st of August and we encourage our riders to take home the Ride-A-Thon form to gain donations from family and friends to help support their horses and RDA.

The Ride-A-Thon can run any time between 1st of August to the 31st of August.

And the participant with the most earned from the RAT will get a prize. 🐀

So eyes open and get ready to participate in the RAT….. theme still to be sorted out by coaches but once announced it will be told to all. 🐀

So theme is decided it is Disney again.

Hey it was a really good productive and fun day to do the bbq at Kotara today. We was run off our feet literally from the time we started to the end.

Thank you to all who helped out throughout the day. A very happy crew. From a last minute lot of volunteers organised to management timely answer to run it.
