World Health Day & our most treasured sense
🌍 Hello, my name is Julie. This week we celebrate World Health Day 2025–a day to celebrate resilience, health, and vision! 👁️💪🌟And on that last topic–vision, I want to ask you a question. Do you have a favourite sense? One that you treasure over the others?

Traditionally we are said to have five senses including the sense of hearing, touch, taste, vision and smell. Perhaps we could include others such as temperature and proprioception–but I think that ‘chat’ is for another day. So what is your favourite sense? …

Did you say vision?
Apparently people fear the loss of vision more than the loss of other senses and even more than cancer–so that is a lot. Vision is regarded as our most treasured sense.

With that in mind, I want to reassure you that vision loss is not inevitable. It is associated with ageing, but it does not have to be; and it is often associated with the impacts of stroke and acquired brain damage but there is a lot you can do to harness both your personal resilience and the power of a natural approach to preserve or regain your precious vision! ✨ Whether it’s nourishing your eyes with the right nutrients, moving your eyes with care and attention or purposefully relaxing your eyes, there are countless natural ways to love your eyes. 🌱 And at the very crux is simple (but profound) awareness! That is, being deeply conscious of your eyes (how they are feeling, how they are looking, what they are doing at a given moment etc) and embracing strategies for maintaining and/or improving your vision.

The Love Your Eyes vision recovery program is all you need to start really appreciating and nurturing your treasured vision. Made up of 67 guided sessions that include information, tips, exercises and movement lessons, Love Your Eyes teaches you how to become your own best teacher! Just a little deep awareness can make a really big difference–even if your vision is not what it used to be–you can take charge today! 💚

Our favourite sense deserves our best love and attention doesn’t it, so visit MFWays.com to find out how to Love Your Eyes for free!

The telephone rang. It was a call from his mother. He answered it and his mother told him, "Mr. Belser died last night. The funeral is Wednesday."

Memories flashed through his mind like an old newsreel as he sat quietly remembering his childhood days.

"Jack, did you hear me?"

"Oh, sorry, Mom. Yes, I heard you. It's been so long since I thought of him. I'm sorry, but I honestly thought he died years ago," Jack said.

"Well, he didn't forget you. Every time I saw him he'd ask how you were doing. He'd reminisce about the many days you spent over 'his side of the fence' as he put it," Mom told him.

"I loved that old house he lived in," Jack said.

"You know, Jack, after your father died, Mr. Belser stepped in to make sure you had a man's influence in your life," she said.

"He's the one who taught me carpentry," he said. "I wouldn't be in this business if it weren't for him. He spent a lot of time teaching me things he thought were important. Mom, I'll be there for the funeral," Jack said.

As busy as he was, he kept his word. Jack caught the next flight to his hometown. Mr. Belser's funeral was small and uneventful. He had no children of his own, and most of his relatives had passed away.

The night before he had to return home, Jack and his Mom stopped by to see the old house next door one more time. Standing in the doorway, Jack paused for a moment. It was like crossing over into another dimension, a leap through space and time. The house was exactly as he remembered.

Every step held memories. Every picture, every piece of furniture...Jack stopped suddenly...

"What'swrong, Jack?" his Mom asked.

"The box is gone," he said.

"What box?" Mom asked.

"There was a small gold box that he kept locked on top of his desk. I must have asked him a thousand times what was inside. All he'd ever tell me was 'the thing I value most,'" Jack said.

It was gone. Everything about the house was exactly how Jack remembered it, except for the box. He figured someone from the Belser family had taken it.

"Now I'll never know what was so valuable to him," Jack said.

"I better get some sleep. I have an early flight home, Mom."

It had been about two weeks since Mr. Belser died. Returning home from work one day Jack discovered a note in his mailbox. "Signature required on a package. No one at home. Please stop by the main post office within the next three days," the note read.

Early the next day Jack went to the post office and retrieved the package. The small box was old and looked like it had been mailed a hundred years ago. The handwriting was difficult to read, but the return address caught his attention.

"Mr. Harold Belser" it read.

Jack took the box out to his car and ripped open the package. There inside was the gold box and an envelope.

Jack's hands shook as he read the note inside.

"Upon my death, please forward this box and its contents to Jack Bennett. It's the thing I valued most in my life." A small key was taped to the letter. His heart racing, as tears filled his eyes, Jack carefully unlocked the box. There inside he found a beautiful gold pocket watch.

Running his fingers slowly over the finely etched casing, he unlatched the cover. Inside he found these words engraved: "Jack, Thanks for your time! -- Harold Belser."

"The thing he valued most was my time!"

Jack held the watch for a few minutes, then called his office and cleared his appointments for the next two days.*

"Why?" Janet, his assistant asked.

"I need some time to spend with the people I love and say I care for," he said. "Oh, by the way, Janet, thanks for your time!"

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away."

Think about this. You may not realize it, but it's 100 percent true.

1. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.

2. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.

3. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.

4. You mean the world to someone.

5. If not for you, someone may not be living.

6. You are special and unique.

7. Have trust sooner or later you will get what you wish for or something better.

8. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good can still come from it.

9. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a hard look: you most likely turned your back on the world and the people who love and care for you.

10. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.

11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.

12. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know and you'll both be happy.

13. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great.

To everyone who read this just now....

*"Thanks for your time."* 😊

The whole world paused this morning.

Do you know why? Because an 8 year old’s tank was empty.

The boys had already started their school day at their desks and I was preparing to leave for work when I noticed my littlest standing in the bathroom wiping his face.

I paused at the door and asked if he was okay. He looked up with tears silently dripping and shook his head. When I questioned if something happened, again he shook his head.

So I sat on the side of the tub and pulled him in my lap. I told him sometimes our heart tanks feel empty and need to be refilled.

He cried into my chest and I held tight.
I asked if he could feel my love filling him up?
A nod, and tears stopped...

I waited a minute...

‘Has it reached your toes yet?’
He shook his head no...

‘Okay man. We will take as long as you need. Work doesn’t matter right now. School isn’t important either. This right here, is the most important thing today, okay? Filling you back to the top. Is that good?’
*nods*

One more minute...
‘Is your heart full of mamas love now?’
‘Yeah...’
*looks in his eyes* I see it shining in there, you’re full to the top, and you’re smiling!

Y’all. You may not be 8- you may be 28, 38, 48 or whatever- but ALL of us run on empty just like he did. His weekend was so busy and so full and his little soul was just dry!!!

We all have to pause, and take a moment to refill with the good things. Scripture, prayer, sunshine, worship, song, laughter, friends, hugs. Refill your empty, or you’ll find those emotions (tears, anger, snappy words) overflowing with no reason why.

Take a moment. Refill. It’s the most important part of your day!

Sit with it…

You have to resurrect the deep pain within you and give it a place to live that’s not within your body.
Let it live in art.
Let it live in writing.
Let it live in music.
Let it be devoured by building brighter connections. Your body is not a coffin for pain to be buried in.
Put it somewhere else ...

This page is about reinvention, growth and expansion. The word you will hear the most from us is… possiblity.

It is the barrier breaker and the dream maker. We have found that what has been the greatest threat to “Possibility Thinking” is the expectation that is attached to most dreams.

We cover this misconception and more in our upcoming Masterclass. Get yourself registered with the link in the comments. 👇👇👇👇

Life Journey and Transformation

Kinesiology is a fascinating holistic therapy that taps into your body’s amazing self-healing and self-regulating abilities. I provide Integrated Health Care and I aim to show you that you have everything you need within you to feel better, stronger, happier, more in control, more content and satisfied, to live life to the full and have the best relationships possible with those around you. I help you identify your stresses and then work with your bodymind to balance your physical, emotional and mental issues.

In my clinic I combine bodywork and counselling based on the traditional Chinese Medicine 5 Element Theory which focuses on identifying your basic emotional pattern of thoughts, beliefs and behaviours. This is then combined with exploring aspects of your life journey: events, emotions, reactions that have shaped your experience of life. The purpose of this is to help you gain a very deep understanding of yourself so that you become empowered to change. All of this is supported and enhanced by the gentle but powerful bodywork which involves resetting of muscle neurology and energy, aligning your body and correcting posture distortion patterns that cause you pain and discomfort.

Many techniques are used such as: E.F.T. Emotional Freedom Technique, Tapping Solution Acupressure Points, Reflex Points, Trigger Points, Lymphatic Stimulation Points, Circulation Stimulation Points, balancing of Meridians of Energy, Chakras, Aura, use of sound Therapy, Colour therapy, Crystal therapy, Flower Essences, Essential Oils, Affirmations.
